Assuming you're asking for the fans' choices, here you go: 1st Gen - Maeda Atsuko (Initially Takahashi Minami) 2nd Gen - Oshima Yuko (Initially Kobayashi Kana) 3rd Gen - Watanabe Mayu 4th Gen - Sato Amina (Initially Fujie Reina) 5th Gen - Sashihara Rino (Initially Miyazaki Miho) 6th Gen - Takajo Aki 7th Gen - Komori Mika 8th Gen - (?-None of them became formal members so there was no official ace) 9th Gen - Shimazaki Haruka (Initially Takeuchi Miyu) 10th Gen - Iriyama Anna 11th Gen - Kawaei Rina (Initially Kojima Natsuki) 12th Gen - Muto Tomu (Initially Iwata Karen) 13th Gen - Iwatate Saho (Initially Mitsumune Kaoru) 14th Gen - Okada Nana (Initially Kojima Mako) 15th Gen - Mukaichi Mion (Initially Owada Nana) 16th Gen - Yamauchi Mizuki (Initially Taguchi Manaka) Do inform me if you find any mistakes, all of this is from memory so I could've got some of them wrong ^^'
I don't really follow AKB before 2016, but I do remember several stuff from watching AKBINGO... 12th gen original ace is probably Iwata Karen (media senbatsu in Manatsu no Sounds Good). 13th gen original ace is probably Oshima Ryoka (3 times in senbatsu, although all of it are non media senbatsu). Having said that, I don't know much about Kaoru (especially since she was only in AKB for around a year?) 15th gen original ace is Owada Nana. 16th gen right now is Yamauchi Mizuki, but the very early ace was Taguchi Manaka Of course there is D1 (right after 15th gen), then Team 8 (2014) then D2 (2015) and of course D3 (after 16th gen). D1 is Kawamoto Saya, D2 is Hiwatashi Yui (now probably Kubo Satone), D3 is Yahagi Moeka. T8 I believe changed their aces several times and initially they went with Nakano Ikumi but currently is Oguri Yui. For 9th gen, if we base it on their A-side participation, the original ace is Yokoyama Yui. But honestly, at that time most 9th gen were being pushed and they settled on Shimazaki Haruka (Paruru).
Yup, you're right on Iwata Karen and Owada Nana, I'll edit my reply, thx Not really sure if Taguchi Manaka was the initial ace, she got hype for being Yukirin's lookalike but I've never heard anyone calling her the ace? I'll add that anyway, just in case~ I'm not familiar with Kaoru either Though I can confirm she was at least considered K's future ace, add a solo appearance on a TV show and staring in a CM as a KKS to that statement(Ryoka didn't have anything of the sort) and I think I'm right on this one So...I'll keep that until I find a legitimate source that Oshima Ryoka was indeed the initial ace before Kaoru's graduation

Regarding the 12th Generation: Based on AKBingo appearances and the number of A-sides you'll get the feeling Takahashi Juri is the Ace and not Muto Tomu, even though Tomu has the better Senbatsu ranking every single year she participated.
