Dear all Ranran fans,
I got a question about Ranran.
I'm afraid I don't know Ranran enough to answer this question.
Is she developing a "Joker" (that's my opinion)-type personality in variety programs?

For example, at 3:45 of this video:

She's "crying" because she's scared of the punishment, but just around 30 seconds after that she seems to be enjoying it, smiling and joking and such. Also later, when faced with Ijiri-san(the MC)'s tongue, she shows signs of (typical) scaredness, but proceeds to do the same action with in a playful way.

I understand that idols are expected to "act" scared in order to raise the tension/mood in variety programs, but I'm interested that she clearly shows the fact that she is not scared right after the "act". That's unique for me. [clap] Most others only do the "yokatta....", "thank goodness it's done ..." kind of reactions.

And this is not the only time when she shows that personality. Another one is with Team 4 when they have to ride a vertical catapult at a certain theme park. Ranran was crying and resisting, but when she sat at the seat, it stopped. After the ride she was all smile. (sorry i don't remember the program).
The bungee at Macau Tower was a bit different though ... she looked real scared.

I've just written a wall of text.

So, what do you think? Am I just reading too much into it?

When it comes to sports, do I sense the sister groups have the advantage over AKB?
Oh and I so much prefer short-haired Ranran, much cuter than with long. She stands out a bit more that way too!

most AKB girls pretty much suck at sports or simply don't give a damn haha. Maybe the sister groups are just very keen on beating their big sister.

Over a month has passed since I posted that and now I'm fully used to it.
In fact, when I see old stuff with her long hair - I think that's weird and don't quite like it.
I'm so fickle.

@donjonnie: Ranran already is the joker in Team 4. Just look at any MC during a Team 4 LOD.


I was really worried that Ranran had deleted all her Google+ posts apart from one!
But them I realised I was on that old temporary account, phew.
It hasn't been deleted and some girls are still linking to it.

You know what, i really enjoyed watching golf and playing it (on PSP) lately because of her appearance on golf shows.

I agree. She was totally incredible with that song .. technically, maybe not as good as Mariko .. but her singing was full of emotions. She totally won me over. I would've loved to see her perform her final song.

suzuran was right on her shoujiki shougi episode of AKBingo. No man can resist her smile. I have been a fan since that day. I hadn't even fully realized it until last week when I was watching shukan. She snuck into my top 5 so quickly

I really like them both a lot though. It took me more than a week to determine who was 2nd and 3rd on my top 3.

I also agree that no man can resist Ranran's smile. I know I couldn't lol. I haven't seen last weeks shukan yet, I will have to watch it soon!
