AKB48
AKB48 (short for Akihabara48) is an idol group. The group has their own theater in Akihabara (Tokyo, Japan) where they perform once every weekday, and twice on both Saturday and Sunday. AKB48 is the creation of legendary producer Akimoto Yasushi, a female theatre-based Idol group set in Akihibara, created in 2005 and currently signed under King Records. The group consists of three teams, Team A, Team K and Team B. There is also a trainee team, Research Students, compiled of replacement members.

SKE48 is a female theater-based idol group produced by Akimoto Yasushi and currently signed under Nippon Crown records. SKE48 is known to be the sister-group of AKB48 established in 2008 with their activities based in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. The group currently consists of two teams, Team S and Team KII. There is also a trainee team, Research Students, compiled of replacement members.
