According to info revealed by Hii-chan on the AKB48 18th generation reveal niconico streaming (only subscribers part) the tickets for the AKB48 concert on the 29th of April and the night concert of Team 8 on the 30th of April at the Pia Arena MM are sold out. There are still available tickets for the noon concert of the 30th of April.

On top 10 cities that play AKB48 MVs the most, Seoul is the only city that isn't in Japan, Indonesia, & Thailand

Maybe a 48g in South Korea can be a counter attack to Produce 101 Japan which 3rd season is creating a girl group but yeah I know that there're a lot of things to be studied if 48g should expand there or not

Jpop fans in South Korea is actually numerous. Not only 48g, I pick the best example, Yoasobi's new hit "Idol" (Oshi no Ko theme song) is also currently trending in South Korea

 

Great news. We need a more diverse and inclusive AKB.

 

After PD48, I felt like Koreans value different things in idols. I spoke to someone else about the same thing today and my personal opinion is that a Korean sister group would probably be more successful if they focused on different things (e.g. precision, detail, teamwork). I also consider AKB to have more "girls next door" vibe rather than the "royal beauty" type in 46g - but that latter seems more popular in Korea.

That being said, I think the songs themselves could work really well. All contestants on PD48 performing Hebirote together is still my favourite part of the whole show
