2021 has been a very good year for my Nogi-oshi with an increasing amount of TV work including a starring role in the drama series 'Kuroshinri'. She has a beautiful singing voice (as can be heard in this video) and I hope so much that she'll get a solo A-side center in 2022. I also love her because she has a very sweet personality as particularly shown well in a documentary about her last year, and for me most of all when I had an online talk with her when she was so lovely and kind, in fact I'd say it was the best talk I'd ever had with any idol apart from my AKB-oshi Komiharu. I expect her to be even higher in my ranking next year!

Following her center of 'Shitsuren, Arigatou' in 2020, the past year has been somewhat less eventful for Zukkii but she's always been very prominent in TV performances for 'Ne mo Ha mo Rumor' and I'm certain she'll be a senbatsu regular for a long time to come. I love her cheerful personality and she always makes me feel very happy whenever I see her.

Well, all has been reveled, a few of mine showed up over the weekend and only one came in the top 10. Ones I thought would be higher were lower and lower were higher. I'm mostly a variety show watcher, and don't get much into the concerts and the more "personal" stuff outside the shows. So that's been my prime source for ranking. So I guess that's why I feel that some like Kumi (with her background quips) and Manafi should have ranked up there higher.

As I told, I've 5 girls in TOP10!

[+POSITION 03+ (+9)] Great personality and in 2021 she has bloomed as AKB48 member more than in past. Her MCs, activites etc. were great. I'm proud of Tomu that she did get TOP10 in this ranking for first time in history!

[+POSITION 06+ (+6)] There are 3 great Yodas in whole world: Master Yoda, Baby Yoda and Yoda Yuki. Finally Yoda Yuki did get enough spotlight to start to be rivals with other Yodas in popculture. I was so happy to see her in TBS drama on Netflix "Japan Sinks: People of Hope". Even if it was side role, she has appealed a lot to people and even some non-idol interested friends asked me do I know this actress from this drama. In other way, she is the one who takes lead as my Nogi-oshi since Ikuchan has graduated from group.

[+POSITION 01+ (+15)] Really I don't know what to say. I really love this girl, her abilities, her stage personality. Even if my day is bad, when I see her tweets or InstaStory then world momentally is becoming colorful. In my mind it's real meaning of KAMI-oshi.

Summary in 2021 I was quite dissapointed that she was setup to 2nd row in "Nemo Hamo Rumor" and her new agency - ZEST - couldn't find better job than Imadoki Girl in Mezamashi TV, but second half of year has brought to us... Announcement of Yuiyui's 1st Photobook So finally we can see great comeback to TOP10 and hope that next year it'll be TOP5!

[+POSITION 02+ (+10)] Good old Yukirin. She is same as wine... Became better and better when is going to be older. She has did really great job with Tandoku Concert which was amazing and still in my mind it's THE BEST concert in AKB48's history. She has also worked so hard to promote AKB48 in TV, always when she was invited to some programs...

But the biggest thing is that after so serious medical treatment in the middle of year she came back and helped even more than before and performed "Nemo Hamo Rumor".

[+POSITION 05+ (+7)] Since I've started to be interested in Nogizaka46, she has catched my eye. Cute, a little bit clumsy girl with great voice and soooooo bright personality. Also that she was born in Europe has turned on in my soul some kind of "local patriotism" ( lol ).

I missed her graduation announcement and realised when Nogizaka has released one of her graduation songs in the beginning of December. It was soooooo sad for me and I've decided to enter this forum everyday again and that's why I've realised that 2021 voting will take place in December.

Her voice and singing are really beautiful as well. I'm all in to see more years to come from Yukirin.

01. (1) Okada Nana (+15)
I don't think anyone will ever be able to beat Naachan in my rankings. Ever since I spotted her on the AKB48 2013 stadium tour dvd's she was in my sight. Since then, and still continuing to do so, she has grown in a center AKB48 can count on. Hardworking with genuine love for the group and it's members (sometimes maybe a bit to much love ). 2021 was a stellar year for her with quite a lot of jobs, finally joining an agency that works, her own YouTube channel, YuuNaaMogiOn channel contiuing to grow and a relaxed, playful attitude. Just wonderful.

02. (16) Murayama Yuiri (+10)
The Theater Godess (who the hell gave her -5? You are not human). As always that should be enough but anyway. Still a bit reserved when the spotlight shines on her but she got a lot more used to it this year (in a similar way as in Naachan losing her serious edge). Her appearance in Sasuke was my highlight as it was totally unexpected.
If only she could be a little bit more honest with her feelings.

03. (4) Kashiwagi Yuki (+9)
People often refer to some members as "queen of AKB48". That is all fine but Yukirin is the Empress. 30 years old and still as beautiful and strong as ever without losing an inch in popularity. Had bad luck with her surgery but this was offset with her own single and collaboration with Wack which has shown how diverse her talent is. If she goes on like this she could easily stay in the group forever. And who knows? She might actually do that.

04. (12) Tanaka Miku (+8)
For me the star of HKT48. Embraced her adulthood in more ways then one and showed that she can lead HKT48 into the future. Released a good selling photobook and did A LOT of gravure which will certainly boost her popularity. If sister groups and AKB still did mixed singles she would certainly be a front row member, maybe even center. My only worry is that HKT management is now going to give Yabuki Nako preferential treatment (Not Nako her fault, in many groups management is just stupid) but maybe this gives her shoulders a bit rest.

05. (80) Kamimura Hinano (+7)
The biggest oddball to ever exist in the entire 48/46 universe and I love her for it. She also did the best song the 48/46 groups did this year. Future star of the group.

06. (7) Yamauchi Mizuki (+6)
Finally got rid of bearing the title of center. Don't understand me wrong, she did very good as a center. It was just that there was to much time between singles which made me fear that that might rub off on her. Great smile and character and, as shown in AKBingo, able to throw an unexpected punch. All in all she made a good impression on me and I think she certainly is one of the bright stars AKB needs right now.

07. (11) Komiyama Haruka (+5)
Did a great job as captain of team K and I still think she does not get the recognition of mangement that she deserves. Also someone with great beauty and style and I truly like her Instagram. Might suffer a bit at the start of the new team A but having Naachan with her might prevent her from graduating in 2022.

08. (122) Higashimura Mei (+5)
Got a wish of her furfilled at the end of the year with her taking part in Sasuke. To bad she landed bad but I think we will see her again in the next edition. Talked a bit more but still silent and shy enough to show her charm. A person who is more of action then words and I like that.

09. (52) Saito Kyoko (+4)
Natural character, great fun to watch. Has a variety personality which I always like. Just not to miss when watching Hinatazaka46.

10. (64) Sasaki Mirei (+4)
I was surprised how much I started to like her this year. I don't know exactly what she did but for some reason I found her very lovely and enjoyable. Great looks to.

11. (258) Shen Ying (+4)
The only member of TeamSH I follow so that means she must do something quite right. I also have the impression of her being the member most influenced by Japanese culture.

12. (2) Ikuta Erika (+3)
Normally I wouldn't put her this low but as I didn't follow Nogi much this year as much as I normally would she got a bit out of my sight. Her gradution made me sad but I think in the idol world she will be a legend for decades. Probably she will also be one of the few ex 48/46 member who actually can get a great career after her idol years and I look forward to what she will bring us.

13. (276) Furuhata Nao (+3)
I am surprised that I was the only one voting for her, but I think she is easy to overlook in the current pool of members. But she is a member who was and continues to be important for SKE48. I see her a bit as the senpai other members look at from a distance. Probably the person with the coolest attitude on this list.

14. (99) Ishida Chiho (+3)
In my view the most beautiful member of STU. Sadly had a hiatus period this year but I don't blame her as I think that health (physical AND mental) allways comes first. Also had her photobook released as well as a center position in a STU single.

15. (37) Takino Yumiko (+2)
Just a great idol overall. Not afraid to show her geek side. I am only worried what will happen to her when NaaChan graduates from STU.

16. (144) Habu Mizuho (+2)
17. (48) Sugai Yuuka (+2)
I am going to put these two together. They are the glue that keeps that group together with Sugai as leader and Habu who shows that it is ok to smile.

The following three all got apreciation points for what they did for the groups. Would have ranked higher without graduating, but are in random order for the +1.

A bit of a victem of her own succes. Ever since her ranking 1st during the prelimenarys of the elections got way more eyes on her then was good for her. She comes across as a bit naive and that got to her when people needed someone to lay blame upon.
Still she fought hard for her dream of becoming an idol and lived her relative short idol period to the fullest.

19. (12) Yokoyama Yui (team 8) (+1)
The most unexpected graduate of the year. Many people thought that she was finished after those pictures got leaked but she came back stronger then ever with her photobook and getting a senbatsu postion right next to the center. Her graduation is a great loss for the group.

20. Moriyasu Madoka (+1)
It is difficult to put a label on her as she does so many things so well. Great idol, great piano player and also great at gravure. A woman who showed the rest what stylish sexy means. I wasn't planning on ever buying idol photobooks again but she might make me change my mind.

I'm so happy to see that my oshi Miyata Manamo ranked well. She came in 6th for Hinatazaka members, and 73rd overall. Seeing three other people vote for her is so great! Last year she was 249th, so I believe this makes her one of the highest increases I gave her a +15.
I gave Katoshi and Kanemura a +10 and +9 respectively. I expected Kanemura to rank higher, so her spot surprised me!

Embarrassingly, I forgot to include Mukaichi Mion on my votes list. I'm glad to see she still ranked at a strong 21st. If I hadn't messed up, I would have given her an additional +5 to put her at 18th.
I think next year I will do my votes in order of my 48/46g favorite member ranking, rather than favoring my oshi-group Hinatazaka.

I'm also so happy to see Takayama Kazumi go out on such a strong note! Congrats to her.

Happy to see Naachan take 1st for 2021. She is someone I really respect for how she cares about her job, her fellow members, and life in general. Her time with STU last year made it clear how much she means to them, too. She's been such a critical member the last few years, I forget how young she is. Then on top of that her beauty and charisma is incredible, which is why she's always been my 48G oshi. Watching her Rumor performances last year was so much fun, and I was happy she got a center song that showed off more of her talents.

With her voice, her energy, and her happy charm, Ikuchan was always one of my favorite Nogi members. It was sad to see her graduate but I think she brought a good conclusion to the year for Nogi and her idol career. And she was finally able to clear her name wrt. cooking!

Zukky is my choice for the next AKB star. I feel she got hung out by management since her single debuted, but her performances last year were full of her super cuteness and energy, which melted away a lot of that disappointment. Definitely a member that can always make me smile.

I can't complain with the top 25, and actually almost all of the top 50, ranks being members I really like and enjoy following. Also thinking that with 7/20 of my picks graduates, I guess there will be lots of space to move things around next time

Final comments:

• If someone was going to push Nogi off the top (where realistically they probably belong), I'm glad it's Naachan and not someone I dislike. I'd have to buy sparkling wine if it was Zukki instead, but Naachan is always good to see.
• Say what you want but Kaki is the real ace of current Nogi. She's probably not going to get any votes from me as she's personally not my cup of tea, but objectively she's so good one can't even object to her push, when she gets a center you just nod and say ‘yeah makes sense’.
• Kubo, eh? Interesting.
• Big, big thanks to @Kuura. There's always a bit of irritation, frustration, and childishness in these events, but at the end they're fun and I'd miss them if they stopped.

I don't feel like going in details with my remaining votes. I voted for Yuki, Muto Tomu, Okada Nana, and Oguri Yui, in that order from highest remaining rank.

I hope Yuki makes it to the top 3 in the future. Glad that an AKB member got the top spot. Yuiyui is another pushed member I like, and Muto Tomu is just amazing having a master's degree (or does she have a phd now? ^_^) while being an active idol.

Downvoted 2 nogis in the top 10 but it didn't really affect their rankings.

Thanks to Kuura for all the hardwork on the ranking.

My list next year would be quite different with my oshi being no longer eligible for voting along with other members I voted for this year.

I'm also not sure how I would use my negative votes next year, might even skip it since its pretty boring now without the snake and the leech to downvote.
