    Re: THE AKB48 thread!

Here are the mp3 files of the upcoming singles for those who can't wait for their release.

Dunno if anyone posted these before ... I ripped these off the PVs and edited off the extra parts. Of course, since they're ripped from video files, the quality isn't superb. But personally, they're enough to satisfy my AKB hunger >:D

Do you know what 'Los 40 principales' is? I guess most of you don't, so let's take a look at the wiki...

"Los 40 Principales is the main musical radio station in Spain with more than 4,000,000 listeners. The station was founded in 1966 and in 2006 the station celebrated its 40th anniversary. It has local stations in every region of Spain.
This radio station can also be found in: Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador, Panama and Guatemala
There are Spanish, American, South American, European and British singers or bands. It has a high-rotation playlist consisting mainly of tracks from its private chart. The main music genres that can be heard are Pop, Pop-rock and some House music."

AKB48 is #1 on the United World Chart this week (former #1,Rihana, is now #2) and even the most important Spanish musical radio program surrendered to AKB48!!! :omfg:

^ That is so cool. I've never heard them (YET) on dutch radio but maybe it's just a matter of time. The world just has to take notice. The Aimi story was picked up on some influentual dutch blogs by the way .

Do you really believe Japan is trying to conquer the world again? A feat they failed in world war II. But if they're going to use AKB48 to do it, they can count me in. [hehe] [hehe]

I think it says it's from the "Duncan girls festival" on Nico Nico (Japanese streaming video site like youtube). That's the only video that seems to come up under that name on youtube, I don't really have time to check Nico for it though.

If I wanted to audition for AKB, do I need to be full Japanese? I'm half French, so I have a French lastname. So should I use my mother's last name?

    Re: THE AKB48 thread!

Not at all. There's a number of halfies in the franchise.
The most prominent one name-wise is Sayeed Yokota Erena (Pakistan). Other than that, there's Oku Manami (Italy), Kinoshita Yukiko (Spain), Yogi Keira (quarter; her father's half-Brazilian), Oshima Yuko (quarter; mother's half-American), Murashige Anna (Russia) and of course Akimoto Sayaka (Philippines).

Of course, if you like it better that way, you could always use your mother's maiden name (or any name for that matter).

Needless to say...you need Japanese citizenship.

EDIT: Corrected. Got some nationalities mixed up there.
