I used to watch a lot of anime but not so much now. Still have the AKB anime waiting to be watched, and recently been enjoying Makoto Shinkai's work.

Any nice anime to recommend after 2010? I seems to prefer the anime before 2010.

About the only show that seems relevant/entertaining past 2010 is Madoka, followed by Girls Und Panzer.

    Finally found this thread [whew]

Actually I'm quite fond of a lot of genres, but I'll not include the R-18 genres :p

    For supernatural genre :
    - Bleach (my all time favorite)
    - Sankarea (just started reading this and fell for it)
    - Blazer Drive

Romance well i usuall read shoujo for this :
    - Namida Usagi
    - Toradora (oops I don't know where to put this :fp: )

I think that's all for now.. searching for new Manga to read and anime to watch :hehe:

First of all, what genre are you into?

Like someone said, Madoka is one of the stuff you must see post 2010.

Off the top of my head, you can check the following.

If you're into slice of life:
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
    Hanasaku Iroha
    Tamayura
    Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
    Kinda AKB-related, Moshidora
    Nichijou
    Yuru Yuri
    Gintama
    Hidamari Sketch
    The IdolM@ster
    Working
    Hourou Musuko
    Usagi Drop
    Chihayafuru
    Ika Musume
    Baka to Tesuto to Shōkanjū
Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing (I put this here since this is completely different from the Last Exile I loved, still fun, but too sol-y)
    Mitsudomoe
    Ikoku Meiro no Croisée
    Fractale
    Natsume Yujin-cho

For sol + harem elements (so yes, this has ecchi), go for stuff like:
    Seikon no Qwaser
    Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?
    Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai
    Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
    Infinite Stratos
    Ro-Kyu-Bu!
    Mayo Chiki

    For sol + shounen elements:
    Bakuman
    Persona 4:The Animation
    Hunter x Hunter
    Kaiji
    Beelzebub
    Ao no Exorcist
    Kamisama Dolls
    Dantalian no Shoka
    Deadman Wonderland
    Dog Days
    C
    Shakugan no Shana
    Tiger & Bunny
    Sket Dance
    Yumekui Merry
    Guilty Crown
    Kyōkaisen-jō no Horaizon
    Ben-To
    Gosick

For profound stuff (in my opinion):
    Fate/Zero
    Hyouge Mono
    Mirai Nikki
    Steins;Gate
And of course, the one I mentioned above, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica.

This list alone is just 2011 anime and only the stuff I saw and remember, you can look for the full list somewhere in the internet for synopsis and see if it's your cup of tea.

    Enjoy.

some oddball anime: softenni, saki, bamboo blade, sayaka nakaya's chitose get u!, and anything by beetrain.

I'm still on these anime & manga or waiting for new episodes.

    Detective Conan
    Fairytail
    Skip Beat
    NANA

For NANA, I'm worried did something bad happen to the author, it's been years since she took leave to rest, I really hope she's okay, her artwork is very unique in the manga world.

I have wanting to start on Kuroshitsujin and Attack on Titan, these 2 have many good reviews.

I haven't seen anime for some years now, I used to watch it when I was younger (on the channel Locomotion, if anyone knows it), but when that channel closed, I stopped too. Recently I've seen AKB0048 (ofc I had to see it lol), was kinda fun to watch, even though it's not as good as some other animes.

Any fan of Cyberteam in Akihabara? Gosh how I loved that anime :)

I disagree, it's the most enjoyable idol anime I ever watched (and replayed). After 0048, it's hard to find anime that's more worthwhile to watch, or something I could relate with, or without insulting my intelligence or enjoyment.

Tbh, soul.assasin is right, Akb0048 season 1 maybe good, but season 2 was bad. Really lacking something and the story came up short. I or We also end up clueless who killed her father. It maybe not be one of the best anime but its good or average.

Don't get me wrong, I liked it too. Even though the second season seemed to lack something, I did like AKB0048, I mean an anime with AKB songs had to be good lol and the idea of the girls having some traces that resembled the original members was so cool! What I meant was that the style of the anime itself is not that of the regular anime right? Probably because it's future themed, dunno. Apart from that, probably if they hadn't rushed things, say at least one more season, I think that way it would have been better :)

I'm a few eps behind, but Kill la Kill has been amazing so far. Easily becoming one of my favourites this season, which I never really expected.

Yeah, it's great. I'm loving it and I'd say it's my favourite this season too. :awesome:
I just finished ep23 (watched it like 3 times in a row xD) and can't wait for the finale next week x3. Yeah I reckon it's the kind of show thats good for watching concurrently instead of waiting it to finish then marathoning (tho i intend to marathon it as well when it's over haha).

I just watched Girls und Panzer. The show was pretty awesome. I just wish Pravda actually did this in the anime.
