kyu: Yes! SK's my all time favorite :3 Do you also like Ray Bradbury? Currently reading: Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Oh, I love that book! It's the one and only Agatha Christie's book that I ever read. Because the others are just too thick
Oh my God, now you're mentioning Neil Gaiman also!!! What a great taste. Just like mine, hohoho. I see that we have the same taste about writers, eh? I like him the most on his work The Sandman. You know it? Combined by Dave Mc Kean for the great artwork, they're unbeatable. Yeah I like Ray Bradbury too, but haven't read many of his works. I particularly like Edgar Allan Poe, he's just the best in classic horror / thriller literary. You should try to read his works. @nepos : it's 95% done now, thanks for your support. Now what's left is the article for TV Show.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I want to. I probably should since the second one's coming out soon.
I like much Agatha Christie. Especially the series of " Hercule Poirot " But for the moment it is Volume 7 of Harry Potter : Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Yay for the dark genre Yup, I know The Sandman series unfortunately, it is very expensive for me to avail heee I'm a Poe fangirl hehe.
I bought the first two series and the last series of Sandman. Now I can't afford to buy them anymore. It's so expensive now...
^ Lucky! I don't even have one copy, hehe. I just borrowed from a friend. Why're graphic novels so expensive T__T We're so much deprived of quality works! XD I saw a Sin CIty graphic novel and I'm compelled to buy it.
i bought a few interesting books from Kinokuniya pertaining to the Japanese culture, and more of a societal type of book, one of which is a true story about a bar-hostess, a gaijin and her adventures of the ins-and outs of the Japanese culture as a whole, seems interesting, the other one is none other than the true story and very popular j-drama Densha Otoko-Train man, but this one contains actual translated logs of the chat-lines used in the film as well, quite fascinating to see that perspective, in english. So i am exciting to read those books.
I just finished read Edensor novel, written by Andrea Hirata. and start reading the secret from Rhonda Byrne
Currently I'm supposed to be reading Kafka's The Metamorphosis and Darwin's On Natural Selection for school next year, (or rather, next month...) but instead I'm in the middle of Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston and while I'm actually looking forward to the other two, I really don't want to put it down, haha. It's seriously excellent.
Sin City is one hella book to buy. I really like the using of b/w for the whole drawings, and the only color used is red for blood. Great book with great drawings and great story. Like Memoirs of A Geisha but in a modern society?
sorta, i haven't got to that one yet, but supposively it is from the 1st person perspective and quite real, the realities of Japan. reading Train Man, translated with the daily post logs, it is quite good...Go Train Man, Go!!
