Teresa points to Nagi. Kubo is surprised: “Nyan nyan Nyagi is the organizer!?” Kubo says that of all the senpai’s songs, Guru Guru Curtain is the one that she’s most unable to capture the feeling of the original performance no matter how much she practices. Nagi and Teresa say Synchronicity was the most difficult of the 5 omitatekai songs. When asked about being in the original Synchronicity senbatsu, Kubo says when you’re not the original member for a song, your experience of it starts from seeing the MV and you can only ask others what it was like. Nagi has rewatched her Zetsubou no Ichibyou Mae dance many times and always feels nervous again, but rewatching it while Kubo praises her as cute and cool makes her feel embarrassed and happy. Teresa says when 5ki were shown the Zetsubou choreography for the first time, they felt so daunted it was like everyone’s soul left their body. Kubo says when 3ki first saw the dancers perform Sanbanme no Kaze, the 3ki also felt like they couldn’t do it. When the Zetsubou MV was first filmed, Teresa and Sakura couldn’t appear publicly so they observed from the side. I never expected that the 5th gen (especially after its bumpy start) would make me feel even more thrilled. These tiny creatures (with the exception of the super kawaii twin-towers) have got me completely glued to the screen every time I am watching them. I find them extremely charismatic (not necessarily with the meaning of talented). There are of course talents among them but even those with no particular talent are so "maleable", flexible and trainable, easy to absorb, adapt and adopt new things. These thoughts were in my mind for quite some time but the last Star Tanjou made me want to share these with you. And in particular it was Nao-chan. She is the epitomy of the hard-working girl that is using whatever she is gifted with as a weapon to win our hearts. With no particular talent in singing or dancing, she is so imposingly convincing that she is doing her best! And all this with her strongest weapon: her angelic smile! That smile that can melt even androids. My dearest Teresa, my oshi, is the epitomy of adaptability. The first girl to perform in Start Tanjou episode 1, proved to be a chameleon compared with the gloomy and somber personality of her documentary. She just switched to an anime! Nagi-chan is so... complete: She has the looks, very good voice, very good dancing, she is apparently a good leader but at the same time down-to-earth and has shown signs of being a "calm and serene harbour" for the other girls. Miku-chan is the onee-san. The hug to comfort and strengthen any other girl. Her smile is overwhelming. So is Saku-chan2, the calm and enigmatic beauty. And in this group I would dare put Iroha: she seems frail but is yet another soothing presence. Her scrunchy nose when she sings and smiles is irresistible and her childish voice is most pleasant. Aya is another "all-rounder". She seems to be a copy of Nagi - just 3 years younger. And although she seems to be the "plushie" of her sisters, she is tougher than rock. And her tears during their performance of "Kimi no Na wa Kibou" were more than enough to start supporting this girl. And we come to Aruno. For me, the top singer of all Sakamichi group girls until now, with the possible exception of Lotti - and only her! Aruno is a face that takes time to get to really like. She looks as just an "ok..." type of pretty Japanese girl. But the more I see her, the more I like her. She is truly round, LOL, but... her image in that black outfit, with the mini skirt and the boots during the "Roppongi Shinju" convinced me that she has what it takes for a great career! I've never been a Tecchi fan: But Aruno can be like a new Tecchi that I will be a fan of! But apart from those... details, what I like most about these new girls is the "spirit and bonds of camaraderie" that are so tangible to feel and 'see": these girls are like a solid group, one is there to support the other. It seems that each 5th gen girl has noone to rest and be comforted, apart from the shoulder of whichever 5th gen girl happens to be next to her. And that is what I find amazing. And one more thing...
