Really the only performances I wanna see is SasshixMM. The rest of the setlist just seemed kind of meh for me.

Momusu’s live singing is really on another level lol

 

Kind of the reason aks has been avoiding collabs in the past... Don't want your flagship group being potentially upstaged by guest/rivals.... Singing live and putting on intense shows is what Morning Musume is all about though...

Will have to wait for this year's show to be aired to get a better opinion but from the brief snippets around the internet seems like the Sasshi x MM17 collab while be the highlight for me

I have to admit that I was impressed in general that nearly all of the performances seemed to be live (excluding that very first one of the previously posted video). MM didn't do that well here though. There was one voice that somehow sounded off? Maybe that was Sasshi tho. No idea tbh.

Man, Bukiyou Taiyou unplugged with Furuhata Nao and Takayanagi Akane is so good that I want an audio version to listen it over and over.

 

I wished there was more concerts like this.

I skip the songs sometimes in the regular concerts because the playback makes it looks like it's always the same performance. I know they all work so hard on their dancing performances, but I loved this Kouhaku so much. I can't wait for the new ranked senbatsu concert, by the way.

Finally saw it - doesn't have the kouhaku feel, well, for one thing members perform their own songs and some members appear several times.
Was also hard to keep track which team is performing.

But this version had a lot of good singing -- best one for me was the akane/nao bukiyou taiyou -- this was really great with the live orchestra and all.

Really enjoyed momusu's 1 2 3 -- feels weird without riho sayashi and maybe reina but lots of good singers among the newer members. Oda Sakura's gotten really good and has a certain swag now.
