tbh maybe the pricing at 888 yen is a bit high for monthly 3-4 videos, of which half can be seen for free.
Either they reduce the price or increase the exclusive contents, and subs only benefits that is unique and can be shown, like the ID card.

I don't think announcer is Okada Ijiri, he'll be on camera if that's the case. Most likely one of Takahashi-P's staff.

I agree that 4 people for one episode is a bit lacking. Maybe 6 would be good? Maybe after the big concerts, to be safe.

Adding a senpai though... that will be nice if they script it well.
I'm still looking forward for the training camp event.

Review of Episode 11 :
The 17ken show episode 11 (Oct 17) was a golden episode!!!
Only 2 main contents : Budokan Concerts backstage footages (free part) and Cooking Queen competition (paid part), but both of them are so GOOD!

Also for the paid part, the Cooking Queen competition is just very very entertaining, even if you don't 100% understand japanese, just looking at their reactions and tone is enough to make you laugh

Not gonna spoil who won the competition, but it was pretty close between the top two.
The bottom two, on the other hand, are disasters in kitchen but very entertaining.

I've been rewatching this year's episodes of 17kenkyuujo and they were all fun enough, the staffs tried their best to bring interesting games to the show.
There are some episodes/segments that pretty mild and long-winded, but have moments that made up for it haha

Like in the latest one,
#54 (Dec 25 episode)
where the "No Laughing Newscaster" segment was pretty flat because Kokko, Aichan and Sorara managed to do it without laughing at all.

But comes Nonchan's turn, the jokes Aichan and Sorara cooked up managed to makes all laughter breaks loose
Can't help but laugh when the prompt you have to read is (roughly) :
"The creature called [KyoKyoNe] has anger issues because it is obsessed with [Hair loss], so if you see it in the wild, please don't [give it Afro Hair]"

I got at least a good 2 minute laugh from that part Not to mention Kokko's reaction in the middle of it, like your everyday neighborhood aunty.

Anyway beside that one, my personal top 3 episodes of this year is:

Hopefully they can reach the 3000 subscribers goal next year, for the I-ken Festival!
They really need to do something special though, the monthly subscribers only show and the occasional merchandise sales are not enough. Bring back the Fanmeeting!

 

Fun idea! Looking back on the year, 17 kenkyuujou was definitely my favorite ongoing idol show this year. Some episodes can be a little dry but sometimes I just want to see them sit around and have fun . The training camp ep was def one of my favorites staying up for and the 18ki collab was just fun, organized chaos that I hope they invite them again..
one of the biggest laughs I got this year was from ep #34 during the news segment and the kokko cm with the clips and then later in the ep they played with chatgpt


I'm surprised this show has lasted as long as it is going right now and doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon with the goals they want to hit... but thats just means more 17ki content for us

 

Haha yeah that episode is also great, the sudden Kokko CM segments are always funny
I also expected the show to end with the training camp, or the concert, or the 1st year anniversary.
TBH they have kinda slowed down after the first anniversary No more tons of great photos at 17ken twitter, budget for activities seems to be lower (not many outdoor ones, lots of board/card games)
But hey, I agree that more content is great!
