Single AKB48 58th (Ne mo Ha mo Rumor) [2021/09/29)

I wasn't aware cheerleading tricks were complicated dance routine moves. Or for that matter anything fresh or new. I had enough of watching artists do those in their videos throughout the 90s and 2000s from the USA (along with those who were crossing over from the UK and Canada). J-pop and K-pop also incorporating it just makes them seem dated (flashing back to some of SNSD and KARA's early hits in particular here which I'm certain I shouldn't have to name).

 

One of the main AKB48 trait / strength is also their diversity.
They can do a rockish number, followed by a waltz, then more typical idol stuff etc ....
So far, they did pretty much all genres. (still waiting trash metal ... )

 

Actually nogizaka did that on one of their early singles as a coupling track

I'm the bitch who's screaming at them lol. This is probably my fav video from them this comeback. It was filled with so much energy.


Also as a granny, I love seeing Yukirin pull off this dance because we're practically the same age and these young girlies are hard to keep up with lolol.

 

NMB already did some stunt-y things in their early singles like human pyramid (OH MY GOD), carrying (Nagiichi), lifting (Virginity), all 2011-12 era.

 

This is proof for me that they want to secure AKB48's future by targeting the younger demographic (high schoolers and yuppies).

Fun fact, no they don't. Nogizaka46 grew really popular without having a hit viral song (many of their songs were bland), take a guess why. And IzOne had already built up a big fanbase and a great amount of hype before they even released their first single or EP. And barely anyone knows any Rev. from DVL songs, but everyone knows who Hashimoto Kanna is. Idol groups are about the idols, that's why they're called "idol groups".

There's 18 girls there though. Another pair of shoes behind Megu, and a third pair behind Yuihan that's pretty difficult to see. Why would there be unders anyway, Megu, Onishi, Yuihan, and Yukirin are all there and easily visible.

And the 17th is the one behind Megu. Between Rei, Tomu and Yoko one is missing, unless she's really well hidden behind Yuiyui.
