I guess it's somewhat "nice" that some fan-service can come out from this mishap... :^^;: (i was afraid it would make that connection actually, lol)
Lol at those guys doing hebirote! takes a lot of guts to do that especially when you know your idols are watching :XD:

    • My cousin is leaving on the 17th to spend a semester in Macau xD

He was planning to go often in HK so I totally wrote him a really long email to tell him how to get to the store, and if he could buy some goodies about my oshis for me 8D

      *looking forward*
He won't be back til january or something but I don't care, it's AKB : D

Thanks for the pictures, gahhcake, I'm forwarding this to him xDD

lol, i guess hk seems to be a pretty popular holiday spot~
anyways, details on the Janken tournament have come out~

from the 13th August to the 4th September, every time you buy something (per bill) you get to challenge the store staff to janken. WINNING them gets you into the preliminary round (draws and loss counts as a loss, but if u buy something , u can try again XD). And then after that, on the 17th September (Saturday for once XD) is the preliminary, where you we have to compete against the store representatives again until there are only 32 people left. Then its a janken tournament between ourselves until 1 remains XD

    Prizes:
Janken with the winning member in Japan (to be decided if in HK or Japan.... but Japan will have to be paid for by ourselves :fp: )

    A trophy

A signed poster by the winning member

Also, the top 16 in this tournament get a free handshake next time a member comes~

P.S i 4got to post this last time, but the hello kitty x akb collection is also on sale in HK (my bad, work was being a dick)

    @gahhcake

Wow! Nice shots of the inside store. The arrangement changed somewhat from when I was there months ago. I could only take pictures of the outside and the entrance way of pictures when I was there. There were employees watching me when I entered the store and had to stow away my camera.

How'd you do that considering that no cameras/filming is allowed inside?

Thanks for all the info in this thread. I'm going to HK later this year. I'm not interested in trinkets and stuff. But do they have items like autographed pictures and such? I realize they'd be expensive, but I'd consider something like that.

    I don't think they do..

You're welcome :) I've added one more photo of the cd/dvd section.

They weren't looking. I felt like a rebel after doing that but I did buy like 700HK dollars worth of stuff there.
They had less t-shirts compared to when I went in February :/

They don't sell subunit singles in the shop...only AKB singles/albums if that's what you meant.
    ------------
AKB seem to be quite popular in HK from seeing this outside cd shops

The windows were practically covered with AKB [hehe]

lol, photo sales this month has a changed system as speculated~

in order to reduce certain *cough* people lining up for 24 hours b4 the photo sales and causing a nuisance for the security guards, photos will now be sold randomly, meaning you have no control over which team you buy no matter what ur place in the line will be.

also, due to inflation, the prices will be raised to $130 HKD per pack~

sales on 20th and 21st Aug

also, flash edition 2 is on sale, with 1 out of 2 mayuyu photos from taiwan randomly attatched, for sale on an unknown date as stock was delayed, for a price of $75 hkd

also, card covers for top members sold out relli fast this month, so they gna restock soon

In what area(s) were the CD shops located?
Did not see that many mags about AKB when I was last there.
Then again, their popularity has risen significantly within the past few months [hehe] [clap]

Makes note of it when I return to HK!

    Thank you :)

    Edit:
Been to Sino Plaza previously but the magazine racks didn't have much AKB-related items then!
    Now it's an AKB shopper's paradise :^O^:
