    I was using the website .... and this morning suddenly the direct links AKB posted didn't work anymore, I did see the concerts under 'videos' but clicking on them just dumped me back to the main page. I followed your suggestion and now it seems to work again.
    But only in Safari, in Firefox and Chrome the only thing I see is the 17Live mascot rope jumping ....
    (and just having that site open at that point just burns cpu cycles :/ )


    I'm not impressed with 17Live to be honest :/ But then again, I should not be looking a gift horse in the mouth ;)

    I didn't need to restart (using Chrome on my Mac). Just change region to Japan and then go to AKB48 videos.

    A question mainly for those who have attended performances at the AKB48 theater. Have you noticed if there are wedge monitors in the gap between the audience and the stage?

    On DMM it's difficult to see if there are any monitors and an inadequate monitor system could explain the shaky vocal performances at the theater if members can't properly hear themselves sing.

    sadly haven't been able to attend a theatre performance but this is a screenshot from Miichan's last performance YT video
    as far as I can see there are no monitors on the floor, I see what looks like a speaker on the ceiling, but that seems to be pointed at the center (with most likely one mirrored at the other side)

    there are small speakers in the wings ... (above the two spots)

    during concerts they tend to wear earpieces, but I couldn't see those either

    the floor in front of the stage is completely empty
    (and I now think that what I thought was a monitor on the ceiling is more likely to be a strobe)

    As far as I know, there is no wedge monitor on the floor. On or in front of the stage.

    Quick question?! Why are the teams doing only 8nin theatre shows? Is there a specific reason? And how are they being done, do all members do 2 people’s lines and do they do the 5 units per show or only 1-3? Just curious

    Unit songs are the same. Partipating members perform in 2 units each.

    Groups songs, I never paid attention to line distribution, the songs work though and they a done with live vocals.

    Depends on the stage. Some unit songs get skipped (e.g. Megami wa Doko de Hohoemu in SS12), and some members only perform in one song (in Team A's most girls only perform one unit song).

    Mechaike Specials have been subbed – Mechaike Bakajo Special as well as Dissolution Dokkiri/Dokkiri Senbatsu. I unfortunately don't remember the official names of these special episodes, but that's what they're commonly referred to.

    I also recommend checking out @Duburin's twitter (@DuburinSubs), he's got a Google spreadsheet with loads of subbed content. Documentaries for the most part, but also the random one-off episode here and there.

    I've already watched most Mechaike episodes with akb48 in them. I especially like the paruru special. But it seems like I've missed some of them e.g. Yuuko graduation special. Seems like I got to go through the masterlist more thoroughly^^
