These were not announced at any event, they're just names AKS trademarked in China. It doesn't really mean anything, at least for now. They also trademarked BJN48 & GZH48 last year and nothing happened.

Welp. Time to restart the Idol Wars.

And, yes: they are supposed to be cover groups. That's the whole reason why we have international sister groups: so that other countries can "understand" what AKB48 is singing about. And, of course other, more official reasons than my own provided one.

 

I'm pretty sure they have the right to use their names. That's why AKS can't sue them and get those names back. Kek.

They must reconsider another name for AKBBJ tho.

They finished all secret auditions, and 1st gen girls are being trained.

The audition which Twice48 mentioned is a public audition to add more members.

 

That doesn't make any sense.
