Single Hinatazaka46 10th [Am I Ready?] (2023.07.26)

The composer of the song has previously worked with 48g and composed the following songs:

• "Is that your secret?" by SKE48 from their 19th single CHICKEN LINE (2016)
• "Seishun Dokei" by NGT48, first single A-side (2017)
• "Boku wa Kono Umi wo Nagameteru" by STU48 from their 6th single Hitorigoto de Kataru Kurainara (2021)

I quite like it tbh! It's fun and upbeat. I'll definitely listen a few more times before making a full decision but so far my verdict is more positive than negative. I agree with everyone that the video is very fun and bright too

 

I admit, it caught me off guard but love the song, and nothing to say about the MV just loved it.

I love how different this song is, I guess that's also part of designating new centers, this group is not afraid of trying new things and I love it.
We have 7 centers so far and maybe there will be more in the future, I can't imagine what kind of song we'd get for a 9th or 10th center, it's so exciting to see how this group is evolving.

I enjoy the MV a lot. It really fits with Hinano, just like the 9th fits Nibu very well. I am however find myself in the camp of people saying that the song while catchy, just isn't hitting me right. Maybe it's the key it is in? It's like a light voice trying too hard a bit? It's hard to explain.

On the credit roll, the MV director of photography is a Korean. Maybe, that is the reason why this MV feels like kpop japanese MV release?
As for the song, tbh, after playing it a couple of times, it sticks in my mind. I come to like it a lot. Maybe, this is the Hinatazaka title song that I played the most until today. Keep humming its melody all the time.

My impression of the songs' titles
1ki song - the hanegumi also can be translated as physique or body posture. My translation might sound scary because of the skeleton word. But, this song could be a song about pose, fashion, and models? It also reminds me of the "incident" during Miyazaki's recording, when members "bullied" Wakabayashi-san. They asked him to turn around and showed off his pose like a model, by the way.

The 3ki song also has an interesting title. I feel like the song describes the love that being in shut-in state. So, maybe it is about someone who is difficult to love others. That person love just don't want to come out from the deepest part of his/her heart?

The 4ki song's title is interesting. The Blue Slope translates the mamono part as a monster. But, after reading the lyrics on the MV, I think magical creature fit with the context. So, I translate it that way.

Good song and some part reminds me of something...
MV is superb. 4ki members' expressions and the pool scene were the best, especially my beloved Oshimen, Yoko. Too bad, Kishi-kun didn't participate in this MV because of health problems during the recording.

Ah, so it is from this song. I remember the melody from old Marlboro cigarette CM.

 

Really love the song! This single is coming on super strong. I'm especially excited for the 1st Gen song, they've usually been my favourite ones

 

Interesting and nice to hear a new song with part of the melody based on an old composition. It would be very nice if the same thing is done with compositions from the 17th/18th century.

4th gen song...: Where is Kishi-kun???

At least when they formed a line, towards the end of the song, there were 11 girls. And as far as I'm concerned, I couldn't spot Kishi-kun anywhere in the MV...

 

Why b-sides in the last two sigles are much more better than a-side?
