Single Hinatazaka46 2nd [Doremisolasido] (2019/07/17)

As great as these results are I do find them a tiny bit problematic as they can’t be used as an indication on who is more popular than who. Except for the three weakest sellers. Maybe it’s time to increase the slots to 30.

It's been several days that I was thinking "I have something to post on Doremisolasido thread but I can't remember what is" until I saw a video from Fe Channel in Youtube. I said "this is what I forgot".

Kono-chan in her blog entry "Doremisolasido MV", she made a MV "favorite points" that reminds me Techi-chan from long time ago.

NICE SONG! Katoshi's singing is just she keeps getting better in every song
& Hinano!! her voice is smooth and calming, with voice training I think she has potential to be a good singer

From SHOWROOMs I knew Miho's voice was a bit high, but I was still surprised lol and Hinano's voice was smooth but deeper than I expected
I envy how clear Katoshi sounds even in those higher ranges

In any case, they all sound great! A good backing track too - I can imagine acoustic covers of this

 

Really. Excellent voices, blending well. Katoshi does just get better and better. I'm so glad for her. I remember the time she was so embarrassed that her Showroom camera showed how messy her room was. And I remember her saying that before Hiragana she was in a home economics college course, planning to become a housewife. Later, she made it clear how absolutely determined she was to make being an idol work. It's working, Toshi-chan!

There are also a few more successful candidates from the auditions sitting around waiting for a call....

 

A very good song, and sung by each member of gen 1, 2 and 3. I didn't expect Hinano to have such a soft voice, in contrast to Miho who has a slightly thick voice, and as usual Katoshi can dominate and give harmony for the song overall. I think the lyrics are like the implied message that the members wants to convey to Memi who will graduate from the group (I will try to explain it in Memi's thread).

This is one of the songs that will get MV, I hope they can show an elegant choreography with beautiful setting and touching story line.

 

The new song is for Memi, who drinks strong black coffee. Here's a quick translation of the lyrics. Tears came to my eyes as I was translating it. Great parting song for Memi, great parting song for any relationship.

.. but I have to point out that there is just one small mistake in the Japanese lyric that may effect your english translation(in very small way)
this line: 「君が待ってたとしても愛の姿追いかけない」
instead of 「ai no sugata」,
It's 愛の背中追いかけない　
「ai no senaka」

Yes, nice performance. Happy and invigorating. I love that move where they fling out their lower legs to each side. It was good to hear Kumi quite correctly say the group had 21 members (even though only 18 were there...). I was not so happy to hear her say they were a "new group" that had made their debut in March. All true, but totally ignores Hiragana Keyaki. Understandable, of course -- too much info for their brief interview -- but it gives a funny feeling to someone who has followed them for three years.
