The Kegarete iru shinjitsu photocard (pic 8, top row, 3rd from left) is one of my favorites of anyone. Watching her perform with that smile made a strong impression and is a big reason I'm a Team 8 fan. Otsukaresama!

Yeah, but it wouldn't have been the original ten, since Yokoyui had her stage play and Nagi is busy with her group. The performance at the 9th anniversary concert may have been the last one, at least for a while.

After getting up, she moves over to the right, in front of Yukirin. A few moments later, the camera shows that it's Miu.

My PB review:

At 1st glance, it looks like a luxury product, the photo covers display quite some work on lights.
The covers are made of soft mat paper which is allways nice on fingers.
From the obi, 4 photographers worked on the book. Wow, that's a lot, usually idols PB are the work of only 1 person.

Overall it is a mix of soft gravure and fashion magazine, but nothing very daring, you won't see even the start of a cleavage, some might be shocked by the tummy displays.

It is divided in 4 parts:

1st chapter:

[hide]The most sexy, with mostly the wool outfit used in the promo.
and there are some more daring shots where her underwear are appearing from her low waist trousers.[/hide]

2nd chapter:

[hide]This has been made by a korean photographer and it's a complete change of setup, for some studio only photos. What strike the most is the lot of make up around the eyes, circled in black. the main focus would be Hitomi's face, rather tthan the various outifits. (in general, the book has a lot of close up on her face).[/hide]

3rd chapter:

[hide]This has been shot in Korea and it is a street fashion chapter[/hide]

4th chapter and the shortest

[hide]another fashion part, but this time the photos are playin more with Himi's blond hairs and her pale skin. She is showed like a porcelain doll. aspect reinforced by some tutu outfits.[/hide]

My general impression,

[hide]is it is well done, the photos are nice and the overall esthetic isn't depleasing.
But it lacks a conductor, the whole collection doesn't tell a story related to Hitomi and there is no cohesion from a chapter to another. Only 1 on location part is also rahter low for an idol photobook.

The book realisation must have costed a lot. The production (assuming M&S) hired 4 photographers, traveled to Korea, so with the sales numers above, t's not far fetched to say theat this book is a fail, mainly thanks to a sub than poor promotion.
the insta accoun doesn't have more promo photos than the one released on the day of the anouncement, the twitter opened way too late, only shows Hitomi displaying the front cover and advertising the release events.
Sorry, but lazy work doesn't disserve good results. you can't expect high sales when the promo shows no off shots and doesn't do anything to let know the target audience that a product is scheduled for release.
It's a shame, had there been more efforts the book would have sold maybe somewhere around 5k ~ 10k, which is respectable result for an AKB48 member.[/hide]
