I first saw Wasamin in New York. She was just so wonderful there. It seems to have been slow going for her since then. I really felt she asked to be called Wasami back then, maybe I miss-heard what she said.

But I think her time for greater prominence will come soon when some of the older ones graduate maybe. I really liked this girl back in 2009. (they were all amazing when I first saw them together back then)

Also I think she should keep her hair off her face, and straight. She has an attractive and quite distinct face which is lost when she allows long hair, or wavy hair to obscure some of it. Very much easier to recognize her if she keeps her hair off her face.

I can recommend watching the NYC Webster Hall concert. When I saw that on line it bought back memories, and have watched a few times since. The whole concert is there on line.

The feeling of a smaller arena really helped develop a feeling between the girls and audience, really close and personal which got both sides right into it. Is one of my favourites performances of AKB48.

I say that because her voice is better than a number of 'senior' girls. Some of the seniors have just average singing voices that I can tell and rely more on image and personality and of course the backing of the team to look and sound good. Not bad voices, just average.

What I like about Wasamin from that, and a problem I have sometimes with AKB48 singing, is that she really trusts her voice and attacks the music, enters a note with strength and not searching for it, and with confidence. She isn't worrying about being off key, voice wandering and so on.

I used to be a musician, and now days spend a lot of time also watching coloratura sopranos, the pinnacle of the human voice in women. So it was a pleasant surprise to see Wasamin just come out and ..sing.

Watching her sing there again. She looks and sounds seriously impressive, really love her voice. A little bit of voice coaching and she has some real solo star quality.

Okay big news. I read on twitter that Wasamin will debut as solo singer next year! I'm not able to confirm this yet. Sounds awesome
