My guess is that they were originally supposed to be equal candidates but because of the negative reaction from the community, certain changes were made and a compromise was reached. The vitriol was more or less directed at the twist instead of the girls themselves anyway.

Other people think this may be by design to rattle the community which can also be true, but that's an awful amount of risk to take, plus there were tell tale signs that do not suggest a calculated "master plan" was at work.

i wonder what will happen to bottom 7 just in case the 7 challenger are the one secured the spot

 

HHE already mentioned that the top 16 will come from the 48 girls. Top challengers will get trainees status.

Correction regarding the Japanese girls I mentioned above. It was actually pertaining to Tokyo Girls Collection, not MNL48. Got my hopes up for a second.

 

so it means if ever one challenger gets a high votes(top16 for example), that challenger will not get that senbatsu slot but she will be confirmed as kenkyuusei?

Login, then check if you voted for a candidate; Go back (the Home icon) and check My ID on the upper right corner.

 

Hi, I already logged in and then voted for Gabb after that I only see on the home screen are: status verified, settings, start button and Oshi (like). I also completed my details. Btw, I am using iPhone. I still don't see a voters ID I do hope though my vote is counted as I can't also vote other girls.

 

apple user doesnt have the update yet, it will take some time before the update pass the apple review and pushed to users

 

I think all iPhone users have the same problems right now regarding the app. Some say that it's still not updated.

 

It seems that the announcement on It's Showtime is different from the Online Updates.

I'm torn between Ash and Sela, but in the end, I voted Ash.

 

Good choice! I like Sela as well but I feel management likes her enough and also quite popular.

Ash on the other hand needs all the votes she can get. Besides, her poster is the best in the group.

 

I took a little time to browse some mansion/event houses in Quezon City. haha

 

I hope management sells plastic fans or small photo cards of the candidates' poster. It's a good way to see who has supporters who are willing to spend money on this. They don't have to invest much, just produce let's say, 100 pieces per candidate.

 

I would love that if the idea becomes a reality though there might be perks toward the fan or the aspirant if we buy merchandise for them (like probably handshake?).
