The Cavs won again, in another tough game. They somehow managed to blow a 20-point lead late in the game, but held off another late Golden State rally to take a lead in the series. Curry found his shot in the fourth quarter, which is worrying, but I'm confident that Cleveland's defense will hold up in Game 4.
Golden State won it all! They played really well for the whole season, so props to them. Cleveland just didn't have enough in the tank, but maybe they'll win it all next year. Well, now there's the draft and the Summer League, so the basketball doesn't end just yet.
I agree with Andre Iguodala receiving the MVP trophy, Klay Thompson wasn't himself in parts of that series and they needed someone else to step up with solid points. After being down 2-1, the adjustments the Warriors made in going to a smaller line-up paid off, there just wasn't enough depth left on the Cavaliers to compete with that kind of pace. I'm excited for the Warriors' chances next year, they have the right kind of players and now the experience of winning their first title!
Iggy was the X-Factor. Sit down Bogut and play small ball. Iggy accepted the role from the bench at the start and he got rewarded. Well deserved! Thank you Ig!
Congrats to the GSW and also to Iggy for winning Finals MVP. NBA Draft and Free Agent Signing this offseason are both interesting to see.
The NBA Draft went down! The 76ers had six (!) picks, and they got Jahlil Okafor, an awesome big man. The Lakers picked up D'Angelo Russell, who's supposed to be a great PG, so hopefully they'll be a lot more competitive next season. And the Timberwolves grabbed Karl-Anthony Towns, a fantastic center, so now they have the last three number-one picks in the draft on their roster. If all the talent they have develops, that team will be really dangerous.
Mario Hezonja, current player of FCBarcelona, ranked 5th and was picked by Orlando Magic...it's a pity our coach didn't make the most of him while he was here...
Loved the Lakers pick (thought he is perfect for Lakers). I wanna see Kristaps Porzingis proved the whole city of New York wrong.
Yeah, that was definitely a douche move on Jordan's part... but it does make sense for him to stay with the Clippers. Kevin Love is coming back to the Cavaliers! I think he can play a bigger part next year, and hopefully the Cavs will be in the running for the championship again now that LeBron's also back. Aldridge passed on the Lakers and went to the Spurs, but at least the Lakers grabbed Roy Hibbert in a trade and signed a few other free agents. I don't think they'll improve that much, which is a bit disappointing because next year is probably Kobe's last.
Spurs getting Aldridge was Huge they definitely won this offseason. I think it safe to assume that the Cavs will be in the NBA finals again next season.
Honestly dumbfounded on why DeAndre Jordan wants to continue to play 3rd fiddle to Paul and Griffin tbh? Anyways. Thinking it will be a Warriors/Spurs Western Conference Finals (with the addition of Aldridge for the Spurs). Eastern Conference is the Cavs, Cavs, and Cavs lol.
