Rikotin's PB was released in December 2010, so...if it's one or the other then Mayu is copying Rikotin

 

I am fairly certain Watanabe Mayu was merely following posing instructions and had little to do with the creative process that determined what is not a terribly unique pose. Thus it is pretty much definitionally impossible for her to have copied anything.

Em... dont worry, actually none believes that Mayu have to do with the PB more that posing for it. Because... once again, the girls are just tools, yeah sounds cold but its true, Managment say and girls do, as simple as that.

About the pose, I cant remember all the adds, tv comercials, Books and Magazines covers, etc where I saw that "nude pose" but they are a lot . Being almost the same cover as Rikotin's was a funny coincidence

I follow her quite fine, thank you very much. Probably a lot more than you, at any rate. Otaku =/= not as innocent.

Anyways, if the point of the cover was to garner attention...the person who thought of that has succeeded. Mayuyu is now BIG NEWS, the photobook has even reached the attention of the Hong Kong media. Cue the following awkward conversation.

Parents: You know, Mayuyu is releasing a photobook.

Me: Oh, yeah, I know. Wait, how do you two know?

Dad: She takes her clothes off! Is it because she's not popular that she has to resort to this?

Me: What! No! *insert long explanation about how idol photobooks generally aim towards a "sexy" theme and that the cover photo is in no way representing how the rest of the photobook will turn out, that you can't really see any "adult" material, it's not a porn rag, I don't like the direction of the cover either, etc., etc.

Parents: So....you're not going to buy it, right?

Me: Actually, I have it pre-ordered already [think]

It's a pretty big deal because up till now, the only member that my parents have heard about from the newspapers they read is Acchan, being the face of AKB48 and all. So Mayuyu appearing on the news so that even my parents know about it is pretty crazy. I think I might try to find the article sometime and scan it for you guys

Anyway, AKB48 is a big name in whole Asia now!!
Their news is often covered by the media.

OMG, I've been waited for this for so long time.

 

Might I ask out of curiosity, do you know specifically which HK media outlet? Unless Mayuyu's photobook release is big enough so that ALL major HK media news agencies picked up on it... (can't imagine seeing this on TVB News though)

 

actually, Apple Daily reports on AKB all the time.

 

Since HK's AKB-store is putting on a Mayu exhibition. This uproar of Mayu-attention might just flood that showcase studio.

 

I had already anticipated with wishes of my lord and master and pre-ordered 300 copies.

It has been my intention from the start to only keep several copies for myself and use the others as a resource to help convince others that their lives will only be filled with joy and fulfillment when they give their themselves over Watanabe Mayu and AKB48.

The blessings of Watanabe Mayu be upon us all.
