Ahh, I absolutely love this single-- Ashita wa ashita no kimi ga umareru and Chocolate, as well. Since I'm still a bit of an AKB48-noob, I'm not too familiar with the voices just yet.

Could anyone tell me who sings at 3:00 on 'Chocolate'? She has such a lovely voice~

i really love the song and the video, everything i've been listening to it a lot ever since a full radio preview was up.

Rina's voice is so amazing, very sweet but controlled... and she's just beautiful. i'll try to buy her mix of this single!

 

You know what I find totally stunning about that PV?

1. This PV was shot outdoors! Not in the safety of a studio! Not many idol artists would do that (for the fear of wotas or whatever other reason...)

2. The AKB48 girls are not afraid to lie on the pavement, get dirty with real chocolate, get shot and do all things that would ruin their "idol" image.

3. They do not seem to rely on their sexy image to sell more copies as the initial concept seemed to be.

Don't you love AKB48 for all the above reasons? They are so unpredictable...

I was thinking of buying a AKB48 (stage) DVD, but I think I'll get this first

 

I just downloaded and watched the "censored version" of the PV.

If you remove the blood and the bullets, there's still a cut video to watch, but all the tension and the excitement (and tears) are gone.

...which makes me think that those shooting scenes were really beautiful, in their own way. I am not a fan of shocking / provoking images, still, I realize how deeply moved I was at the sight of three girls going down for nothing and then going back to life (?) for a happy ending (although I am not sure at all if it really is a "happy" one, which makes it even better!)

...which makes me, also, wonder how interesting and beautiful Morning Musume PVs would be if there were an interesting plot behind them, too.

*sigh*

Toootally agree with you there. No matter how freaked out I was initially by that video, watching the censored version just does not even come close to making an impression like the one with the shooting scenes left intact does. Very powerful stuff there.
