I love the talent like show things included with the music videos. They are quite cute.

But, the 'talents' on display are, in some cases, much much worse than something that would be allowed in a grade school talent show. They end up being cute and funny, but it all seems a bit unprofessional, but in a strangely organized way.

It does emphasize the 'everyday' qualities of the girls. I can see how this might be a good thing, but it also seems to indicate that any girl living in the Nagoya vicinity that is not ugly has a fair enough chance of being selected a research student. Still, where else could I watch a girl stick a tissue up her nose until she poked her brain.

I thought one of the many basic rules for all idols were displaying utterly useless "skills" if the need arises. lol
They do it all the time on talk-shows. Part of the idol charm.

normally i'm just lurking here in the forum but this made me register and made few google searches. Takamina indeed is part of Shin Domoto Kyoudai as host and chorus singers.

It was nice to see Oki Doki performed live. QQ: Did AKB48 performed in Shin Domoto Kyoudai before? I know about Acchan's Flower performance though.

AKB did Beginner once. And there also were no3b, French Kiss and Watarirouka7 who appear in Nov-Dec last year for their single promotion.

Beginner pref. was just like Okidoki, lower key and tempo but live.

So 1st week sales are just a little bit shy of 500k. Still their all time best. Congrats!!

^^ Beginner performance was cacophony-ish. They clearly struggle at live singing. I'd say SKE did a lot better - almost perfect compared to AKB.

That Oki Doki live was so good I want a full version of it! I love the arrangement~ just sing it a bit slower at the start but I love the instruments

I've been listening to this and really trying to get into it, but for some reason it's just not growing on me at all.

Frustrating, because I really want to like it! I do however love Hanikami Lollipop
