That's so close to 500k that it hurts. But it's still an excellent result. Actually, it is beyond what I expected before it was released. Hope they continue to grow.

I was going to say the same thing. With all the recent exposure through TV and magazines they sure are on their way to selling a lot more, but awesome they've always been.

I'm not even kidding. Their revival of A1 was freaking ridiculous. S was so polished, they made A1 look like a cakewalk.

And hence came along S2 and S3. I've heard of news among other threads saying that an S4 will be coming soon after N3. What are your takes on this?

Back to main topic; anyone expecting a 750k hitter on the next single?

Expecting them 300k first day and 500k first week. That's more realistic than 750k hitter imho

Judging by the tables, I'd say 600k seems more possible.. Maybe 750k is asking for too much. :music:

Either way they are making sales near Arashi.
(Which Arashi's kind of fluctuates depending how strong the tie-in is)

So this year might be an interesting one if the full top 10 is just AKB48 and SKE48.


For a moment I thought SKE48 slowed in growth but now they proved me wrong and made me re-think AKB48's potential for this year.

SKE48's growth is still in predictable range, but AKB48's growth..no one will ever know

KataFai is not that hard to stuck in your head, but, Hanikami lollipop, once you hear it, it's gonna stuck in your head like forever

I probably just can't listen to this single without the PV its just a great combo. Awesome plot, Jurina playing her role, and the dance routine is so energetic its sucking their breath out.

If Kataomoi Finally will perform like Flying Get that really stick in the rankings after the first week I'd say a 650,000 sale is possible.

I think its more on the CONTROVERSIAL side that this single sale this much. SKE48's reinvention is just so unexpected many got curious from the sweet little girls turned to.... how do I describe it. [notme] Later.

If that's true it's going to get more harder to keep up this pace by the next single, i mean they can't make another intense song like Kataomoi Finally, because the effect will be lost, but they can't go back to a light hearted song because than they'll kill their momentum.
I hope Akimoto thought this through.

They'll have to start doing stunts in the PV, not only in the DVD extras. Maybe a flying circus. Wait, NMB just did that.

They'll do Keibetsu type next single and it will be about suicide and hazards of having a social life.

And it will be beyond controversial.. Jurina, Kanon, Manatsu and all the U-18 will die a horrible death in the PV.
