I have my own reason but I don't know how to explain it. I have to keep finding until I lost the hope to find it anymore. My 2nd choice would be getting the adapter for sure. The laptop is not for me but for a company.
Check out the Toshiba Tecra A9 or M9. I'm pretty sure they sell it in Malaysia. Go to the US website for info. Find a local dealer to verify that it meets your needs. The Toshiba Asia website is useless. I don't know if any of the other Toshiba models have serial ports. The other ones I checked did not. http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/cmod.to?coid=-33755 Hope this helps....
The Fujitsu Lifebook E series also has a serial port... http://www.fujitsu.com/my/services/comp ... ies/e8410/ http://www.fujitsu.com/my/services/comp ... ies/e8210/ http://www.fujitsu.com/my/services/comp ... ies/e8110/ What price range were you thinking of?
HELP ME! I have a problem. When I click D: at My Computer, supposed it opens at the same window. But then, this is THE FIRST TIME! D: opens at a new window. I've done full scan to my laptop but not threat found. What happened actually?
Your folder settings probably just got messed up. Open an explorer window, and go up to tools->folder options. In the general tab, there's a check box for "open each folder in the same window", make sure that's checked and not the "open each folder in its own window".
^ I just got the solution. It was because of this malware: Win32 NSAnti Luckily I managed to remove it successfully.
I'm not sure if this is the right thread... How do you make gifs? Like... in general. I'm lost and have no programs.
When creating a gif from a video, I use VirtualDubMod to cut out the segment I want to use and select "save image sequence" from the "file" menu. Next, I start ULead GIF Animator and drop all the images in there to do the rest. For extra effects, I edit single frames in Photoshop (just because I like it's UI better than ULead's). If the video file is small enough and in the right format, I can drop it into GIF Animator directly. There's probably easier solutions to this but for me that's the best one because I didn't have to buy new software. VirtualDubMod is free, you can get it here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... p_id=65889 Photoshop came with my camera, ULead GIF Animator came with my old PC. Trial versions of both are available on the internet and might be of some use for you.
I create GIF's from a video with TMPGEncode (to cut and avi [or converting to] and uncompress it) and then I go to Image Ready to make the GIF itself. To make a GIF with several pics, I go to Image Ready too.
I use Nero Vision to split the video since its faster on encoding it, convert it to a .mov file using SUPER video converter, so that it would be recognized on Adobe Photoshop CS3 for editing. I take note of the FPS, (frames per second) to know how fast the gif would come out.
@hina: Shouldn't your program let you adjust the speed manually? I know mine does and it's really old. No need to check the FPS. Also, slightly off-topic, open to everyone: Would you recommend upgrading to Photoshop CS3 if you already have CS2? Seeing how it's rather expensive and all...
^ to be honest, if there is a way to do it, i have no idea how. These programs that are using were not really made for making gifs anyway, so i just thought of the obvious, more frames the slower the gif. But the good thing about it, i already figured out a default setting that works for me. So making gifs are just only a few clicks away. And regarding your second question, i haven't tried the new features on CS3 yet. But I do know it allows you to edit videos in it, and they scrapped image ready and intergrated it on CS3.
Ah, thanks for the explanation. Also good to know that Image Ready is gone now - I never quite understood why there had to be two programs to do what can be done by one.....
