I was feeling nostalgic, so I decided to look back at my first posts from 07

This obviously isn't my post, it was just posted around a time I remember. But anyways, I'm glad to see that the Mayuyu fandom has grown a lot since then. And wow, she's grown

Hihi. Not like I post here much. Last one was like for MaiMai's grad. [rock]
But I do check here time to time, to see how this forum's community has grown.

I honestly didn't know what the fuss was about Mayuyu until last year. Having a crazy fanbase, merchandise going for crazy prices and regularly being a front girl of AKB. She's just a kid.
It's actually a godsend how team b were the underdogs early on, cos they got to be on all the shows more than the other teams. Like +10 and Nemousu. Which really helped me know 'em better.
And I don't need to say much to show how entertaining she is, just watch yesterday's Nemousu. [rofl]

And looking at my previous post: wow, does she have a different face. She's definitely grown to be a cute thang.

Why is Mayu called "Idol Cyborg"? I've seen it so many times, but never understood the reasoning behind it.
Is it becuz she always act in a "perfect" way that reduces fans to incoherent mumbling of ecstasy??
e.g. Nemousu Ep 4 - Mayu's sneezing [tmi]

I asked the same looooong time ago elsewhere (i think?) and people told me it was because she didn't show her feelings....

But, seeing or watching Mayuyu just a couple of times, I think it's more the opposite way... O_O

(Kinda when people say Yukirin is a dark person). >^.^< ????

I think Mayu was a bit stiff in terms of showing emotion during her early days (see old AKBingo eps). Probably because she's quite the shy type. I think she has emerged from her shell since then, probably when she realized that there was no reason for her to hide her nuttiness and that fans actually loved her more for it. That's just the way I saw it.

But yeah, I think that was the original reason she was called an Idol Cyborg, somebody clarify if there's a better reason.
