Oh god no. Firstly, Babymetal's songs have turned pretty shitty as of late, and secondly, Sayanee would have to be coaxed into doing it. She may accept being an idol but that doesn't mean she will ever like idols.

On the other hand, doing a collab with someone like her favorite seiyuus, though, would be definitely awesome.

Just read on AKB48 Wrapup she had vocal chord surgery recently. Hope she's fine.

I literally read that on twitter and then came here to mention it. The last sentence mentioned something about voice training in the future. Maybe she'll need a while to recover fully

I didn’t tell because I don’t want to make everyone suddenly worried, but the other day I had a surgery for my vocal cords. And now I’m steadily recovering from it. For now I won’t be able to talk loudly, and I still won’t be able to sing for a pretty long time, but I’ll do my activities without pushing myself too much. Now I’m able to talk/converse normally, I’m recovering slowly.
Yuihan : I see, that’s good.
Sayanee : I’m terribly sorry for making all of you worried.
Aki-P : For a singer, as expected throat is really important. That why, please rest properly and heal it thoroughly.

Anyway i hope this will end well for her. Of course i'm worried, but if this means a better chance for her, then i'm totally ok with waiting until her throat gets better. I hope she won't push herself (because we know she has tendency for that)

 

The won't be able to sing for a pretty long time has me worried.

That said IMO timing is good as now AKB probably will be 3 things

Like Paddy said the upcoming schedule will hopefully give her the time required to rest up. Also, having a radio show at 1.30am in the morning is so silly.

Why did she need this surgery? What happen? This is so sudden... but i hope she will get well soon. Her voice is the plus thing in the 48group and i dont want anything bad happen to it

 

She clearly needed it as there must have been some damage done to her chords and had she not then it might have been irreparable (who knows, very little has been said)

It wasn't specified, but it could be for vocal nodules (basically blisters/calluses on your vocal cords from straining them from being too much/too loud)? It's not entirely uncommon for singers; I remember hearing about it in kpop occasionally--if you sing incorrectly it can increase the likelihood of getting them. Maybe that's what Sayaka meant by getting voice training to be a better singer?

Honestly I'm hoping it's this, because it's not as severe as other things that require throat surgery and on to of that the main fix is just learning better vocal techniques in the western style.

 

Lost for words... Amazing show, most likely heading for Wembley next year.
