NGT48 (short for Niigata48) is a Japanese Idol Group produced by Akimoto Yasushi, and the 4th sister group of AKB48. The group has their own theater in the Lovela 2 building in Niigata (Niigata Prefecture). The 1st Generation members were announced on July 25, 2015, debuting on January 10, 2016. They are currently signed under Sony Music Entertainment Japan.
