- She shared the same nickname as Iwata Karen when they were both active in the group. Both went by "Karen". However, Yoshida's nickname is written in hiragana, while Iwata's was written in katakana.
- Fellow Team 8 members have described her as cute, friendly, "fluffy", and sometimes airheaded. They said Karen was initially shy and greeted everyone with her shoulders raised tensely, but she came out of her shell after a year in the group. Staff members have described her as calm and mature.
- She won the Team 8 Janken Tournament held at the AKB48 Team 8 National Handshake event in Nagoya Dome and was featured in a gravure photoshoot in FLASH as a prize.
