Re: U01Idol: JKT's unofficial rival agree, it's like a joke, it seems they havent prepared it well. how to pronounce the name? yu-o-wan? yu-zero-wan? nah from the name, i guess they copy JKT. why not find a catchy name w/o initial. maybe it means, you are the idol? and, the logo plus header of the fp are not well design. Spoiler and what is this Switch? seems interesting. Spoiler lol at "Yang daftar cuma cewe aja ini min ?" but seriously, is there guys idol group?
Re: U01Idol: JKT's unofficial rival Spoiler Edel had applied for gen2 audition but she didn't make it. She also said she want to try again for 3rd gen. She already had so much support from 48 family fans communities in Jakarta and West Java. But, if JS really want to develop this brand-attached idol group to be a real deal, they won't let Edel go. Even I can say, without Edel, Switch (with star) won't be this popular. And fyi, Rini (ex-JOT stage manager) is the woman pulling the strings. Ok, OOT. Okay, so far I see this so called unofficial rival still guessing in the darkness about their business plan. It looks like they have a premise, "make it like 48 groups but don't make it too much like them." At the end of their identity confusion, I bet, they will adopt Momusu system or not make it at all. Without solid concept, idol group is a hugh risk business. @Arara: there are many boys idol groups in Japan. You must know that the biggest rival of Aki-P in Japanesse idol industry is Johnny's Entertainment. And he mainly manages boys idol groups.
Re: U01Idol: JKT's unofficial rival Maybe OOT, so I'll just put it in spoiler. Spoiler Nice. Good luck then, you two. Looking forward to seeing you both as a newer generation of JKT and make them grow even bigger We guys can only watch... you girls can join them.... somehow I envy the privileges of a fangirl... New idol, huh? It appears the idol culture began to take shape here in Indonesia. Although perhaps, newer idol groups who didn't have a strong fame and financial backing like JKT48 would have hard time differentiating themselves from girl bands Hopefully, they would grow big enough to at least match Indonesian GB's size in popularity and successes. Only when that is achieved they can finally meet their "real" rival at the same stage: JKT48. It's gonna be an interesting story if they turned out successful at "taking out" JKT [nod] I loled at this Your standard is TOO DAMN HIGH Well, I agree that we can't comment on them since they even haven't debuted, yet. We'll need to wait until they show their faces on our music industry.
Re: U01Idol: JKT's unofficial rival Suju? lolgay :3 But yeah, I don't know about this... it looks like a joke lol.
Re: U01Idol: JKT's unofficial rival yap it is troll a lot a people says that it was a set ul by a crazy anti JKT so i went to theirs Twitter and find a whole different info than what was written on the FP
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? lol !! And I was looking forward to this If it was created by an anti, i don't really see how it can damage JKT. Oh yeah, i'm pretty sure in Japan there's lots of male idol groups.
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? There are so many Japanese male idols in Japan even long before AKB heck even long before Morning Musume. Even long before the Oyanko CLub... JOHNNY JIMUSHO is a rather old entertainment empire...
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? Ugh what a bummer, better check the Switch group tho.. Aren't act like Arashi, Kiss-My-Ft2, Sexy Zone etc are idol groups?
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? Yes they are in terms of music, but the whole sharade around them makes them idols. Even Japanese media calls any group of them a Idol Group...
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? No, it's not. The term has been around since the 90s, triggered by the first Western Boyband/Girlband explosion such as Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls et al. New Kids On The Block, their predecessor, although possessing similar format (singing in group and choreographed routines), were never actually called a "Boyband".
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? Since the trace of the Official account of this group has been disappeared, maybe we should lock this thread until further notice. how 'bout it?
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? I'm sorry. Let me rephrase, girlband is an Indonesian-made term. AFAIK, Spice girls as a group was never listed as a 'girlband,' instead as a band, or a girl group (or any other terms.) While they're generally the same thing, Indonesians made a hassle by insisting that girlband(/boyband) and Idol Group are different. While in fact, JKT48 is a band of girls singing; though yes JKT48 IS a group of idol at the same time. Basically to me boyband/idol group are the same thing.
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? Actually the oldies (oh God, I feel old) like Spice Girls, All saints etc (various female groups) were referred as girlband as the female counterpart of boyband.
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? new idol, huh? sounds very interesting [whew] are they could be more popular than JKT48? i'll see they first performance
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? ah it is seemd that you haven't read everyrthing yet This IG is said to be a troll, created by a non JKT fans
Re: U01Idol: What is this exactly? I wonder why is this even worth a thread? It's not even JOT's nor it has any direct relation with JKT48
