@Slacker13 - Funny you should mention the bad acting in most horror movies. I gave up on horror movies precisely because of their formula. The scares no longer scare, the acting is a little worse in them with every year that passes, most horror movies can no longer set the tone or mood well, etc etc etc. There are so many flaws in the formula of making a horror movie at this point that the genre should really just die. You know it's bad when even little kids are bored when presented with them at the cinema. Additionally I wasn't expecting this to feature spectacular acting worthy of the academy awards, but on top of re-imagining the previous seasons they've presented us with a cast of exactly the girls anyone following these groups would expect and as usual nobody included is motivated enough to put in any effort to do a good job anymore. Ever since LaboReti the Senbatsu regulars and the usual suspects management is trying to promote/push - all look bored/tired/like they're going through the motions/"I basically couldn't care less, but this is my job" - when performing the singles, now its bleeding into other stuff - such as this drama. At least in Majisuka Gakuen 1 and 2 you could see the girls were in fact trying to make their characters come alive. And being able to predict what a character is going to say or do before she says or does it is not helping the season. Say what you like about the previous seasons but at least they were giving us some originality to work with in those. And I'm sorry to tell you this but waiting it out a few more episodes is hardly going to make my opinion change in this case. I'm going to watch through to the end and pray the acting improves though. They could at least start seeming like they give two cents about their involvement in this especially with so many other girls not featured who likely would love to have been featured.
Are you a fortune teller in real life??? You seem to have it and the efforts the girls put in all figured out in one episode.
^A first impression is very important. Episodes like this are meant to set the foundation on which an entire season/series is built on in ANY television show, be it a drama or a game-show or heck even a porno (please don't ban me for mentioning that, I'm just trying to make a point). In the case of this drama as low quality a production as it's meant to come off as, its first episode still makes for a remarkably poor first impression. In real life people go to the movies and have their opinion on if the movie was good or bad ready in the first twenty minutes despite most movies running for several hours. If people can do that with movies, why can't people form lasting opinions on a t.v show (regardless of what type of show it is) just from the first episode? You and a lot of others here who have issues with people deciding this is bad just from one episode are completely underestimating the power of first impression.

The first time I ever noticed Sakura was in Kibouteki Refrain performances. At first I thought Sakura was just a bad dancer. But after watching this episode of Majisuka, I'm thinking is this girl bad at moving generally? Like it's not just awkward... somebody used the term robotic but... I can't come up with a better description. As for the plot. Sakura is the next generation ace and the successor of Maeda Atsuko? I'm sorry but after watching Sakura in Majisuka, hearing her vocals at Kouhaku and when I think of her dance in Kibouteki Refrain... I'm sorry but I just can't take her serious as an idol. At this point, my impression of Sakura is just slightly better than that of Mio Tomonaga. Another message is that Sakura is going to beat all of the next generation AKB48 members and be center one day. This might actually come true. And it wouldn't even bother me. I would have a hearty laugh if someone like Sakura or Mio wins the AKB48 elections one day. I think that's how Yuko felt when she was beaten by Sasshi.
Your post is so provocative it actually made me laugh. Hope that the next episode will be good enough to change your mind on Sakura, if you're going to watch, that is. No you completely misunderstood my post. Yuko laughed because she did all the right things but still lost to Sasshi. Yuko put in tremendous efforts in her career only to be beaten by 2ch trolling hetare Sasshi. She realized it's not something to be upset about. It's actually hilarious. I am going to watch more of Majisuka because I enjoy it a lot. I enjoy it for the good acting of some. And I enjoy it for the bad acting of others. Now that I realized it's nothing to be upset about, the bad acting will be hilarious to watch. I'm honest here in case you doubt me. It is very entertaining, for the good parts and the bad parts. Did you notice the great camerawork? Those nice special effects they use? The costumes, the use of props are wonderful. Did you notice the chair and desk on top of the entrance? All those meticulous graffiti. The atmosphere of the opening and ending songs. This is a great drama all things considered.
Just watch the first ep Overall it was ok Sakura's chara was a just a copy of maeda in the first season (i watchd only the first one) And says the same words..boring meh I really hope they'll change it and do her character more unique (tho i liked when she said the sakura season comes soon) Sakura deserve better !!! Lol at nyan nyan fighting I really enjoyed some of the characters like: sasshi (she was so funny haha idk why) ,tani was awesome!!!! Same milky such a bad girl but cute at the same time! Sayanee was just too good *.* keicchi "center" her own team BOSS is hereee and also anna Paruru's acting is so good :0 I really hope for more girls to apear! I also can´t find anything good on Sakura. Honestly, I don´t understand why she is pushed so much. Sometimes I think giving her so much promotion hurts the group. Somehow I see her as H!P material ...
I really enjoyed the first ep, so funny and a better "art-work" than the first 3 season IMO (just in therms of production, but also the acting was decent) so it's a sort of sequel with this funny plot refering to the real 48 family and his legends ( fantastic). Paruru masterpiece (the chara is just fantastic ) Sakura chara very good and acting decent (also if with that uniform mmm not suit her at the best) Sashi funny Nyannyan LOL very good the new rappappa team and nice the nmb school and the takamina rest. looking forward to the next ep
This is the first time I see Sakura being criticized so much (and hated so much). No I'm not going to defend her, saying she's perfect or something will not make her look any better in anyone's eyes. She's still improving and actually those critics are helping, I don't even mind. "The higher the tree, the stronger the wind." It happens to everybody, even Atsuko. I'm glad Sakura received much hate and criticism, because that means she's relevant. Sorry for being out of topic haha. Back to MG4, Yes that happens, but you can't generalize that every people do that, or furthermore generalize that people who do that, will always do that. There are a lot of movies too that aren't appealing in the first twenty minutes, but then picking up their pace until they reach their climax. Sometimes they even go for a plot twist that finally put everything that looks messy in the beginning into a neat order, clearing everything. Not that I'm saying MG will provide an awesome ending or something I said above. Having a first impression is okay, I do that a lot too (just a few days ago I watched Dracula Untold and I shut it down after fifteen mins), people do that a lot too, but jumping into conclusion because of first impression is not something you have to force down to someone's throat. You want to do that, then do it, nobody will stop you. But saying that people who have different opinion with you are 'having issues', will only make things clear that you, also are having issues.

Not everything that you are incapable of understanding is lame. And not everyone shares your reasons for voting for Sasshi. You didn't understand a single line of my posts and I am tired of explaining everything to you.
@philipho188 I already emphasized the 'hate without research' part, if you happen to be not really paying attention to it. I'm completely fine with people who have different opinions, because that's what forums are for, to discuss (which is actually something out of this, because I'm actually AGREE with the opinion that I had spoken about). But I just happen to don't like people who throw accusations or throwing hate without even bother to counter-argue.
Having watched the 1st episode, I could only think at the end "how can any of those girls aspire to be an actress? Get real!" For example, I know Sakura has expressed a desire to be an actress in the future and one would think she could use MG4, as much second rate the show is, as an opportunity to show off her acting chops but if she continues like this, MG4 will only harm her potential acting career and no decent director will take her seriously. Only hope MG4 can help her improve.
And the last time I checked there still not professional actresses so there not really experienced at acting big deal they even mention this in all 3 previous seasons so stop nit picking and enjoy if for what it is a idol drama for 48 group fans
Is she? Can't really say as I haven't seen her post-akb movies but the impression I had is that the general public regard her as a very average actress at best. Even Oshima Yuko, I don't see her acting career taking off.
I'm just not sure how anyone can fully gauge their acting skills (or lack thereof) from just one episode. I am more critical of the directing and the script. But that's the problem when they feel the need to jam so many character introductions into the first episode. There was really not much of any story established, and most of the participants barely got more than a line or two. In any case, I'm just in this for Majisuka's campy fun. I don't need the girls to be top notch actresses in order to enjoy the show. Something else to consider...when they premiered the first episode of Sailor Zombie for subscribers only it ultimately wasn't the final product that was televised. There was some minor tweaking done after the online premiere. So there is a possibility that the show could look a little different next week as well.
for yuko I don't know (for the moment), but "Moratorium Tamako" and "Seventh code" are good movies, (the first very simply but deep, the second very strange but good and with a surprising good acting, and in both a good hour of Acchan - Aks production rules!) back on topic: obviously nobody seek good acting in Mg series personally I enjoy my idols funny fighting and I follow the funny plot. So this season seems to be very nice.
