Pink Lady got oricon weekly No.1 for nine consecutive singles

AKB48 need 3 more for rewrite the history.

Well, I think Arashi's maintaining their steady pace (or slightly decline) on their sales numbers, but as expected, they are NOT going to pass AKB48...

AKB sales is monstrous. It's like the astronomical rise of gas prices during world-wide recession. Which is great but scary.

Most artists will be popping champagnes if they get more than 30k nowadays.

It's true, but bear in mind that AKB48 is not just a music group, it's an idol group (and I'm even tempted to call it 'a social phenomenon')

I have a question...the man appearing in Guuzen no Juujiro (about 01:44)...who is he? In the cameos list at the end of the PV there are only two names,and I think he's not Togasaki-san... [wonder]

That's Arashi's first day sales. Can't compare it to AKB's full week's sales.

(but yeah, it's still lower)
(but again, still miles higher than anyone who isn't AKB)

He's just the school teacher. He is credited in the "Sub-cast" section in the end roll, just before the "Cameo" section. His name seems to be Kawano Masahiro or something like that (not sure the last kanji is -hiro, but I'm sure about the Kawano Masa- bit)

He DID appear as a cameo in Guuzen no Juuriro

Yeah, and by the way, I dispute those United World Chart sales. I think on Wikipedia they say it's unreliable; even its article got deleted because of it.

If you actually read anything on the site you'll see that those aren't sales. It's a system of scoring the site uses using sales and air play along with market size.

From my knowledge it's run by some random people and shouldn't be looked at as being official in the slightest. Here at S48, we just look at it because AKB does well on it versus its American rivals.
