Didn't you say you'd love to see a photobook with the outfits they're wearing on the album covers?

Yes, sigh. Sayakas outfit is awesome. She's wearing my favourite colour, it's the exactly same shade and everything. If the photobook is awesome, and if there is none left in YA/CDJ/etc, i'll snap it up on the auctions.

I think it's kind of sad that even you didn't buy the album, because I think of you as one of the biggest Chocolove fans here. It's not that I blame you for not buying it, but it's just sad to read through this whole thread and watch the general feeling change from excitement to total apathy, even among hardcore fans.

I don't know who has the most say in decisions about Chocolove (Universal Music, Akimoto, or...?*), but I was hoping this would seriously backfire in terms of sales against whoever's responsible, but the handshake event will probably make sure that won't happen to the extent that it deservedly should. I still expect low sales figures, though, but I hope it won't do "better" than AKB48's A1, A2, A3, K1 and K2 albums.

I wish I could do a serious album review or something, but... well, there's just nothing to say. The most positive comment I can muster is that, based on the tracklist, the album delivers. Also, I know this thread is mostly Sayaka fan territory, but the correct and completely objective order for quality of the solo versions is (1) Rina, (2) Sayaka, (3) Sae.

* I really want to think it's Universal Music. I mean, normal AKB48 releases aren't much worse than the usual idol fare in terms of value for your money, but from the very first single I've felt Chocolove was pushing the limit of how much simultaneous, separate, low-content releases an idol group can reasonably get away with and still claim to care about the fans.

 

If I keep coming to this thread, I'll end up downloading the album before it arrives. I guess it was a wrong idea to order it together with with K3 DVD.

 

This probably isn't going to help Ange hold out on downloading it...but, I ended up downloading the album. I gave it a listen last night. I LOVED it! Its actually really fun to hear all the solo versions (in my opinion).

I can't wait to get my copy in the mail now. ^_^

 

I'll buy the album when I have money to do it... I love Chocolove if I can't buy the album now that not means I'm a bad fan...

I really really really REALLY wanted this to be good. I am a big fan, but I'm not a going to go buying anything with their name on it. Call me cheap/tight, but I'm not going to buy a bunch of songs we all should have got in the singles, plus I can't even afford it. With tracklistings are bad, I normally look for extras or the cover, but nothing made me jump at all,[the PB was something that made me a bit tied up, but I guess I was just expecting something like one of Perfumes releases, where they released an actual sized photobook with it. I'm still eagerly awaiting previews of it to make up my mind].

I think it's just because of Ashita, everything in that single was right. The song, the PV, the covers, the promotion etc, everything was BEYOND amazing, and it all did pay off because it sold quite well. Dessert didn't even enter the top 20.

I'm not dissing anyone who bought the album, I still support Chocolove 100%, but I'm not going to give in to average to low albums and help them make big sales. Chocolove are a great group, and they deserve a LOT more than that album, and I want their label to know that stuff like this shouldn't work and give them good releases!

To the comments about thinking this release is their last, I see were you're coming from, but I've noticed that they are office48's biggest things right now, and I don't think they'd let it go so easily. I'm ALL up for a new unit though [someone give underrated AKB48 girls some SPOTLIGHT already].

 

So you're not buying coz they deserve more than that? Strange.

I love the album and I think Chocolove members are so lucky... just think a minute, who girl in akb48 entire group has many solo songs like them? nobody ^^ just them three because they are amazing... I think this album is not what we waiting for, but I love it and I'm enjoying all the song ^^

No doubt the album is a royal ripoff, and I admit to buying it, but only because I was way too lazy to email CDJapan to cancel it. I don't plan to buy the AKB singles compilation album, so I guess that'll compensate for it. Also, it has made me a little more weary of pre-ordering. The first press extras really aren't too special, so I may not be doing that anymore for their stuff, if this is what we're going to get.

As long as someone out there likes the album then at least it's served a goal. I'd just rather have all new new songs on an album, rather than one song x 3. I meant by the way the band deserve far more than putting the b sides in an album and making solo versions of them to fill them up. This unit deserves full songs, with awesome promotion, awesome pvs, awesome covers, because all three are AWESOME .
