I think you're right. Based on the SP video, Aoi was being pushed by Maki on the roof right after Maki called her father

I think I heard Aoi said something like "she's angry", and that's because Aoi declared that she knows about Maki. Maki provoked Aoi to go to the edge of the building and made her 'fly'

Which scene is it? I didn't see Maki tell Aoi to go to the edge of the rooftop. What I saw from episode 1 is that Aoi went to the edge by herself

In relation to that and the "flying bird" thing: it's a euphemism for suicide.

Kaoru was trying to be considerate/polite and not use terminology like "suicide" or "killed herself". AKB48's Keibetsu Shiteita Aijō's tagline included the phrase "You are not a bird" with the context of "do not commit suicide" if you're looking for other examples of this kind of wording.

Now obviously there's a chance they'll link suicide by jumping off a high place and crows flying and Crow's Blood the title and blood-related disease/virus/whichever it is into an "I want to become immortal" thing and that's why Maki's also all over the "she wanted to fly" and other flying-related lines ("would you like to fly, too?" at Miion's character, for example). Maybe Maki's sudden 180 in attitude is from Aoi ending up wanting to be superhuman and invincible as well, to be like Maki, and "now we're immortal besties isn't it great?!". Which probably leads to the whole "BECOME ONE OF US TOO, KAORU" thing mentioned in the trailers.

Waiting for subs aswell. Tried to watch it but I guess it's heavily-plot based.
Mayu is my oshi but high school uniform doesn't suit her elegant and young woman face. Same goes for yukirin.

Yes she went there by herself, but she went there because Maki were there. You know how clever Maki is.

 

The SP of the show. I havent finish watching that but i think they will show their faces when there is a gore scene
