Shiori Nakamata has announced her graduation today at perfomance of AKB48 Theater.

Her last perfomance will be on 15th september. And her last HS will be on 23rd September.

I guess she wants to focus on her study after all.
She was admitted into one of the most prestigious university in Japan.
I guess she wasn't able to appear on the stage for over 100 days probably strike the deal and made this decision.

Anyway, best wishes.

 

This is better for her, really. Seeing how girls like her are treated in this group make me quite sad but she has a brighter future ahead with her study, so it's ok.

Congratulations and thanks for all hard work!

 

Ah well.. There goes my dream of AKB48 having a full-fledged Greenspan/Bernanke Idol-Economist in their ranks

I wish her all the best in her studies. Waseda U is a dream institution to many, including me, and I'm sure her time there will set her in good stead for future job prospects! It would be awesome to see her take up a significant position as an economist, academic and even possibly political commentator in the future! [clap]
Go out there and make us proud!

On a related note, I'd love to be able to say, "You know Japan's Finance Minister? Yeah, I saw her perform while she was still in AKB48! LIVE!"

 

This is sad news, she was such a cutie and one of the girls I followed. I guess this is better for her, she was never on stage and received close to zero attention.

 

I feel she was gonna leave if she was not appearing in theater shows often. I'm sure she chose studies which is always a good thing.

Sad to see her go but I guess I didn't expect it to be today.

 

Why I don't feel surprised when a less popular member decides it's time to go? In any case, I think she's better off pursuing higher education.
