Tomorrow I ought to find a drink.

:fp: I have to get over this.... man, considering that early this year I won an unsealed Ue Kara Mariko single during a fan gathering.

ah Mariko-sama...finally she decided to graduate...
well..maybe it's the best for her, she can't stay in AKB forever, especially she already has a good career path

good luck Mariko-sama. everyone will always support you..

I expected Mariko to go in the next year but not this soon [speechless] It was always going to be hard to take and I'm really sad to see her go

But, I think she's been a fantastic member since the start and wish her all the best for her future [clap] [clap] [clap]

I'll always have a soft spot for Mariko :inlove:

Watching her graduation speech the second time was much more difficult than the first time...

Watching it live, the minute she started talking about her speech last year and how the younger gen members were becoming stronger, I had a feeling that she was going to announce her graduation. My thought process at the time was like this: Uh oh... Don't do it... Don't do it... She did it.

I can honestly say though that I don't feel sad. I'm really proud of her. (I guess starting late in this fandom and selecting the oldest member as your oshi, you have to prepare yourself for the inevitable graduation). Starting from someone who failed the first auditions to working PT in the cafe to becoming the superstar she is now is why she is my oshi.

While I more than likely will have a new oshi in the 48 group, I will never stop supporting Mariko-sama in all of her future endeavors. Congrats on maintaining your #5 rank and your graduation!

Mmmm... if I were her fan - and I am, in a way, I think she's amazing, I just couldn't vote for her - but if I were someone who had voted for her, I do not think I would regret it at all. If anything, I would be grateful that she chose to participate this one last time and give her fans one last chance to show their love. And they did, they really really did.

^ ^ I certainly don't regret voting for her, I'm glad she's going out on top.

I was whispering "Don't graduate" too NyanNyan...

If Mariko-sama is graduating in July, does that mean she won't even be in the election single that's releasing in August?! [wonder]
Did all of us just got trolled 1 last time? :^^;:

She'll still be in the election single because it's being filmed later this month, she just won't attend the performances of it.

I didn't think Mariko would graduate, I thought she'd stay in AKB until her 30's :(

But now I guess she can fully concentrate on doing what she likes.

Mariko is the very first member I noticed/liked and she remains (along with Takamina) as my fav team A member, so this was the saddest part of the election for me, seeing Jurina's and Takamina's faces almost made me cry too, why the heck they made Taka talk at that moment? that was SO cruel :(

Another one saying good-bye to AKB48...

At the age of 27 she surely is a bit too old here... I agree about it...

And now we're continuing to lose the early members of AKB48 as they pass it on to the younger girls... First Tomochin, then Sayaka, and now Mariko...

This might be a long shot, but hey, like Tsubasa she could soon help manage HKT48 on part-time.

^Hmm, I guess that'd be cool. But we have to wait till she announces something like it right....

I've been discussing in 2011 that Mariko is nearing graduation, I didn't thought it would take this long to come true. And, after sometime I give up the thought and forge a 4 year deadline... fuuu.. I got trolled, she cut it short and announced it unexpectedly. :fp:

Anyway, the queen goes out with a bang. She should be immortalized somehow.

Well, it looks like Marikosama won't eventually become Mari-p. I'm still laughing at Mariko when Sasshi was announced as first place. She's just dancing when the camera pans on her. I hope she keeps her blog open, so we can hear from her. If Aki-p allows graduates to compete again next year, we might see her again.
