damn, a whole 4 of Yasusu's idol groups have disbanded this year... Koukou 3-nen C-gumi Yoshimotozaka46 The Coinlockers High School Children (male seiyuu idols) https://hsc-jpn.com/information/news/post-839/
Actually, Yoshimoto are in hiatus. They will come back in February. But, for the other groups, I didn't know they were from AKI-P and didn't know they were existing (Only Coinlockers because I follow them). That's sad for the last one. I would love to follow a group like that.
I think you're right - this is the news page concerned: http://yoshimotozaka46.com/news/?id=267 Electronic translators are not particularly helpful for this page but their 'hibernation' does seem to be after the Anniversary Live in February and not before (I'll amend the post I made in the group's thread).
My bad ! But I'm so sad.... And when they said 'hiatus' we don't know if they will come back and I'm sad because that's the first group I really follow closely since Berryz Kobo's hiatus. (we all know that they disbanded, lot of them have left the entertainment since)

Yasusu is going to publish a compilation of lyrics from 46 songs that he personally selected from Sakamichi series' discography. Spoiler: Yasusu's Sakamichi lyrics senbatsu Arranged in the order that the lyrics are appearing in the book: Kimi no na wa kibou (Nogizaka46) Synchronicity (Nogizaka46) Fukyouwaon (Keyakizaka46) Kataru nara mirai wo... We do get the canonically linked Getsuyoubi and SaiMajo together though. From 'Synchronicity' to 'Fukyouwaon' ... I see what you did there and I approve. Interesting that there are lots more Nogi B-sides than Nogi A-sides while the numbers of Keya A-sides and B-sides are more balanced. I wanted to say 'Ganbatte Yoshimotozaka (after your hibernation)' and 'Ganbatte Sakurazaka' but on second thought, if there's anyone who should work hard it's Aki-P himself. He wrote everything. Anyway, Otsukaresama deshita, Yasusu.
Oh, songs such as Futari Saison, Silent Majority, Seifuku to taiyou once lead me to become a 46G fan. To me it was unbelievable that all these great songs were written by just one man. Although I'm mostly a 48G fan today, I still love them so much.
For me, I remember being absolutely awed by Getsuyoubi no asa, Skirt wo kirareta (both the song, the lyrics and the performance) right from its first performance. Hiraishin is another song I absolutely love and is some of the first lyrics I translated (though it might not have been a wise choice, the song's difficult for beginners lol). Dare ga sono kane wo narasu no ka? is (in my opinion) very underappreciated in terms of lyrics; I wrote a mini-essay back then about how it complements/completes Silent Majority and is a wondrous choice for ending Keyakizaka (if it had to end; well, what's done is done now). I'm less knowledgeable about the other Sakamichi groups' songs, but I like most of those that I know from the list. Maybe I'll take this list and listen to the those that I don't know. Good lyrics don't always guarantee a good song but it's a place to start. lol
Sorry for my random thought but, am I the only one who wants Yasusu to write or produce a song for a boy group idol? just a random Japanese boy group or the Korean one would be better too since many of them have debuted in Japan.
Akimoto sensei actually have created a new song for BTS. But because of some of their fans boycotted Aki-P (ofc it is because of politics and other nonsense), BTS and its company decided to cut ties with Aki-P and never released the song. Such an irony considering that Bang Shi Hyuk praised and high regarded Aki-P.
he also suggested Sasshi to produce boy band, so this is definitely something that is on his mind 15:20- if the video does not show watch the video here
