I know exactly what you mean. x) Mio has this dangerous cuteness to her that gets you fished without her even doing anything. but I am not sure if examples like that are actually her actively fishing or not but just look at her newly acquired "frown" that she's been using recently. once she gets a whole repertoire of those I'm sure only the sky is the limit.

I like how simple Mio's name is but the meaning behind it is so beautiful. And beauty is definitely the correct word for these newest pictures. Her eyes are just hypnotic.

New translation for Mio in the article translation thread. It's an interview with Meru and Mio from the Official Guidebook published for the KKS Budokan concert.

 

That interview confirms that there's more than meets the eye when it comes to Mio. Like an adult who gets grumpy in the morning.

I enjoy that she's showing more aspects of herself recently.

The part of the interview that really caught my attention was the thing about hotels. They said that when Mio goes back to her hotel room, she locks herself in there alone. She doesn't go out to meet the other girls and she doesn't allow them to come inside either. This gives another dimension to her shyness. She's not just shy, she's full-on avoidant. Frankly, I can't help but feel a little worried about her.

hmm some of the part explain certain things..

indeed the most worry some is mio's unsocial attitude,not only mio is a loner but she also kinda tend to refuse invitation to go out or spend some time with her peer.this just way beyond shyness,well i guess the reason mio like to be alone could be because she is indeed a loner or simply because mio is a sleepyhead who didnt like to get disturbed while sleeping.meru also told that mio is not a morning person..
somehow that part of her kinda remind me of matsui rena,iirc rena also a loner and unsocial person.funny thing is both of them also love melon pan,the 2nd matsui rena anyone?
the should have mio hypnotized and make her do some usual thing such as vulgar gag just like how rena did shimura ken's aiiin gag in old akbingo..

 

I can't imagine what would happen if she'd have an inner Rena and it somehow got awakened. It would be pretty amazing to see. I know that Rena wouldn't be able to survive in HKT for a week, her mind would go crazy due to an overload of cute girls.

 

maybe she auditioned herself in HKT48 in order to challenge this overwhelming part of her?

not to ask her to become someone as cheerful as meru (which is impossible) but definitively to open her mind like it has been for Rena.

the mio/meru combi is strong because they complete each other while being quite opposed personnality wise.
