    • She created a one-shot gag with her eyebrows called "Mayuge BOOM!".
    • However, she shared that she was also bullied in elementary school because of her thick eyebrows.
  • She has one older sister and one younger sister.
  • Her parents chose her given name Ami (亜美) because both kanji are symmetrical about a vertical axis. She was named with the hope of being a gentle and compassionate child in all things.

  • She is the only AKB48 Group member to obtain a Senbatsu position in three consecutive Janken Taikai tournaments.
  • With the exception of the Senbatsu, she was the first and only member to be featured on all B-side election units until the 7th Senbatsu Election.
  • She wanted to become an actress after seeing the live action movie "Hana yori Dango" (Boys over Flowers). She aspires to be an actress like Inoue Mao and Maeda Atsuko.
  • She is now an actress who primarily appears in theater plays. She has had roles in TV Dramas, commercials, and movies as well.
  • On October 7, 2020 she released her first solo photobook, AMI. She produced the photobook herself. She released a second digital photobook in 2021.
