CGM48 (short for Chiang Mai) is a Thai idol group and the 7th international sister group sister group of AKB48 and the first national sister group of BNK48. The 1st generation members were announced on on October 26, 2019.

Overview
- The logo color is based on the image of a forest in Chiang Mai, which is full of nature.
- CGM48 is a sister group of AKB48 and BNK48. This is the first time that a second group has been established in the same country among AKB48 Groups outside Japan. According to a person familiar with the matter, he explained that the reason for being based in Chiang Mai was "the second largest city in Thailand was the biggest" and "in fact, there are many young people. I want you to pursue your dreams together with young members. That is also the background.
