[NEW GROUP] HKT48 (Hakata, Fukuoka) Auditions

I don't think I can say yet if it's too much or overkill. Kitagawa has been doing the same with the Johnny's for nearly 50 years. Personally, I'm glad to see such renewed interest in the female idol groups - especially from the female audience. I was getting real tired of a dozen new boy bands every year but only one or two female groups

But ugh... I'm just finally learning all the AKB48 members...

 

There's too many girls DX I can remember all of AKB, most of SKE, some of SDN, and a couple NMB, but there's so many! And I bet Hokkaido is next. They should make HKT48 consist of 12 girls. 4+8=12

AKB48 - 2005/12/08
SKE48 - 2008/8/23 (AKB has 3 teams)
NMB48 - 2010/10/09 (SKE has 2 teams)

AKB --> SKE = Approx. 2 years and 9 months.
SKE --> NMB = Approx 2 years.

If auditions take as long as 5-6 months to be finalized, and they announce a team M by the time then I see no problem with it. But I doubt that auditions take so long.
I for one, ADORE new faces. It keeps me from getting bored. But according to this the difference decreases every time between each group, the next 48 might not be so far.

 

i need to know ALL THE MEMBERS this time....sigh...

With over 200 girls next election means:
more people will want to support their oshiman = more people will buy the single = single breaks million sells = more money for Aki-p [sealed]

 

will still any girls who failed in the mm/akb/ske/nmb auditions come for the hkt one ???

 

This is good for management and growth of the *48 brand, but..

A lot of members are from that area.. I fear the transfers that might happen

This is way too soon. NMB48 hasn't even formed M and BII yet and now he wants ANOTHER group? And I'm only JUST starting to get to know NMBers (well, Sayamina and Milky for now LOL).

Might as well start expanding the media senbatsu and senbatsu numbers limits then, post-election, just to compensate for the huge increase in total members. I'm sure some s48ers would love that…

well, on a serious note, I'm not sure how I feel about this. I wish they had waited until at least NMB48 was more established and popular first :/

 

There's actually already 2 theater-based idol groups in Fukuoka atm, though as far as I know neither are particularly popular. I wonder if we'll see any girls leave these groups and join HKT.

I guess this is really what aki-p wants. At this rate, by 2019, there can be 12 media senbatsus composed purely of aces.

I agree with most of the comments that its too early, at least it seems so. NMB does not even have a single yet and no Team M.

Personally though, I don't see the problem with having lots of names to remember, since I do not really bother. I watch videos of the sister groups once in a while, if someone strikes my interest, that's when I bother to know a members name. Heck, I will not be surprised if even aki-p does not know the name of ALL those girls. Or at least, it takes time for him to remember a girl's name.

So goodluck to HKT48, may your ace be someone like Jurina or Sayamina.

My limit was SDN48. I stop caring about XXX48 after that. That's it. TOO MUCH.
One of two reasons why I don't give a darn about NMB48....
Other reason? Too young for me :hand:

 

Why do I have a feeling that even more ___48 groups will pop up?

At this rate Aki P is going to buy a small island for himself and call it some akb name. He is going to profit ridiculously off of these expansions. By 2020, there is going to be a akb group in each asian country lol
