I took the Shinkansen once. But it's really expensive (even if I got there in about six hours). The bus is cheaper, and I don't really mind it so much. It's a night bus anyway, so I can try to sleep most of the way there. I've been here about two years now. I go into Tokyo maybe once every two or three months. Not so often, but more often than most
Hey, Tara, Tatami Mats, and people living in Japan! Your town is Okay with Typhoon? Looks like another typhoon is coming to Japan.
Sweet, I hope that means some of the students will be smart enough to stay home... oh who am I kidding, they'd swim there if they had to...
another typhoon!...wow isn't this suppose to be #5....the last one was when i was in Kyoto, and it was coming the next day, as i was heading back to Tokyo, it was coming in, that was about 3 weeks ago.
Tonight was the first night of Suigosai out here in Matsue Unfortunately we only got 15 minutes worth of fireworks tonight, and I didn't get so many great pictures, but I did post what I have on my LJ. Tomorrow is the big night though, an hour of them. Hopefully I'll be able to get some better pictures then.
That looks really fun! It looks like the 4th of July here in the US where families and friends gather to watch fireworks.
I'm off to the festival soon, so here's hoping the camera doesn't die! I'll post any good pictures here. If I get any
Okay, so the fireworks were absolutely amazing. We were right on the water, so I got some nice shots this time. If you're interested: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v311/nermal01/hanabi/ It was truly beautiful, the pictures do no justice at all.
Nope. Sitting on the waterside We were so close the fireworks pretty much almost reached us a lot of the time
