    ^ Oh, Shimane (島根) in Chugoku region (中国地方)?
    If so, Shimane actually produced less than 1.5% of all rice in Japan last year (ranked #29 out of 37).

    thanks. I will update it later, after work. I am finally getting to add pix, and my daily journals, from my trip a few weeks ago. I really miss Japan, and it helps me refresh my mind about the trip, it is a great place to visit again and again.

    also, i have uploaded and posted pictures on another forum, www.jdorama.com

    Ahh Tara from your previous posting I thought you were returning to your country, not just leaving Tokyo.

    How far away are you from Tokyo?

    ^ I don't know which part of Shimane Tara lives in, but the distance between Tokyo and Shimane is about 600 - 750 km (370 - 470 mi) in a straight line.

    ^Those phones look so cool :shock: All different colours.

    That line looks so disorganised as well, there's more than one. If I was there, I wouldn't even begin to know what was going on. You should have just lined up and hoped for the best.

    ^ I live in Matsue, which is the capital city of Shimane. It takes me about 11 hours on the bus to get to Tokyo (overnight), so quite far. But it only takes me four hours to get to Osaka from here.

    And I'm pretty much here until they kick me out for something :p

    One way is 11 500 yen. So return is usually 23 000 yen. Kinda expensive, but it's the cheapest way to get there.

    ^ Haha, yea me too. That's almost a thousand dollars.

    Even with one less zero the trip is still expensive. How come going there is half the price of returning? Shouldn't they be around the same cost? Or do you mean the return as a round-trip price?

    wow, that is far!, i wonder if you can take the shinkansen to Tokyo, and if so, how long does that take? so, you don't really go into Tokyo that much? so expensive!
    not exactly sure where that is, but i will look for Matsue on a Japan map... 11 hrs by bus! wow.
    how long have you been there so far? must be cool living there, but the only things i dislike are the earthquakes, and typhoon/rains, other than that, i love everything about Japan!

    @Cdevil,

    yeah, i should have just jumped in line, but i didn't want to waste an hour, i had sorta limited time in Akihabara, shopping, browsing, but i was tempted...so glad i found that BLT magazine of AKB on the cover laying on the sidewalk there...it was like a semi-miracle. I posted the cover of that magazine a few pages back on one of the threads.
