One smart bet would be Naanya as a dark horse.

    lol...Exactly what I was thinking.

HKT doesn't really stand a chance in this even if it's not rigged with its 5 members against AKB's 93(?) so the event doesn't hold that much interest to me.

I'm not sure if i understand this right.
Is this 89 AKB members, kenkyusei and Team 8 included, or 89 AKB and 3 Team 8 and 1 kks ?
If so i'm counting 113 particpipating members.

Also the final will take place at Nippon budokan as usual or makuhari mess (i think it's what i saw in the blog entry) ?

    Hmmm proof ?

8 members. Sakura, Haruppi and Mio count as AKB in the Janken. We might see some in the senbatsu tho since to me its completely random except the center (which is rigged imo). Last 2 NMB got in

Fixed. Thank you ;) At Makuhari Messe will be the preliminary tournaments. I don't know where will be the final...

Btw, it's evident, but Katayama Haruka won't participate at Jaken Taikai. Her last HS event will be on September 23rd.

Yea I know what you mean. As soon as Murashige is out I have no interest in the event lol. And knowing her luck she won't make it past the prelims.

since this is rigged i don't have any reason to believe in anybody but the first 23 members in last SSK, hope i'm wrong but after the first tournament and the sales flop the following winners had an average position of 11¿? in the SSK of that year, mariko #4 in 2011, paruru #23 in 2012 and jurina #6 in 2013, how many chances there are? so if i have to bet, i would put my money on sayanee, sakura, rena, yukirin or even miyuki, my dream would something like: okada nana, komiharu, hillary or kaotan, if the song it's half as good that "suzukake nanchara" i would be happy, i really love that song and the video was great too

I am with you on that one. I wonder who would have the most ridiculous costume this year. Also last year there was a worst luck Janken, I wonder if they will do another one.

I guess the "Janken rigged" theme replaces the Mayuyu vs Sasshi crap that's in every other freakin thread

I wouldn't call chance no junban a sale flop, it's sales were pretty good indeed.
    in 2010 there were:
    • Sakura no shiori (1st single with exclusive B sides on each type)===> sold 317,828 in 1st week
    • Ponytail to shushu (election tickets single) ===> sold 513,453 in 1st week
    • Heavy rotation (AKB exploded in japanese media) ===> sold 527,336 in 1st week
    • Beginner (RH tickets single and people tend to forget that it took some weeks to reach 1M sales) ===> sold 826,989 in 1st week
    • Chance no junban (1st 3 types single, and AKB only main track)===> sold 596,769 in 1st week
So, it's the 2nd best 1st week of 2010 and knowing that it was a single without limited editions (IE no national handshake tickets) it's not that bad for a .... "sale flop" ?

But it looks like some people are jailed in their certainties.
