  • Nickname: Kinako (きなこ) (formerly)
  • Close friends with: Tanaka Miku (NakoMiku), Sashihara Rino
  • Admired members: Sashihara Rino
    • She is a longtime fan of Sashihara, and even auditioned for HKT48 because Sashihara encouraged her to do so when Nako met her at an Akushukai (Handshake event).
    • She has said that when she becomes an adult she would like to drink alcohol with Sashihara.
    • She also jokes that she was Sashihara Rino's cat, Munchkin Taro, in previous life.
  • Name in Hangul : 야부키 나코
  • Her HKT48 audition number was 21.
  • Her mother chose the name "Nako". Her father had chosen the name of Nako's older sister, so her mother chose Nako's. However, her father insisted that the name end with "ko". Her mother wanted a two-syllable name, so she began going through the Japanese syllabic alphabet starting with "A" until she arrived at "Na".
    • Her mother briefly considered "Yako" instead, but a fortune reading indicated that an 8-stroke kanji would lead to the best life, therefore "Na" (奈) was chosen.
  • Has an older sister and younger sister. Her older sister is a fan of Watanabe Mayu.
  • She was a child actress who appeared in a multitude of commercials and small movie and drama roles before joining HKT48. Her biggest role was as young Asakura Masami in the live-action version of the manga "Touch", released September 2005. She was four years old at the time.
  • After passing the HKT48 auditions she, her mother, and her younger sister all moved to Fukuoka. Her father remained in Tokyo where he worked, and her older sister was in college.
  • When she first moved to Fukuoka from Tokyo she had trouble adjusting to the buses. In Tokyo buses are boarded from the front door and exited from the back door, but in Fukuoka, it is opposite.
  • She became Center of Wink wa Sankai within a month of debuting in HKT48. This was an HKT48 Senbatsu coupling song on AKB48's 34th single, Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru.
  • She was named the ace of the 3rd Generation.
  • She took on a leader-like role within her generation. According to Sashihara Rino, Nako was is very serious and often helps other members practice singing and dancing.
    • Sashihara said that Nako only sleeps 2-3 hours before concerts, and instead stays up late practicing choreography.
  • Former HKT48 theater manager Ozaki Mitsuru described her as strong-willed and brave, despite being shy and having a small voice.
  • She is afraid of heights.
  • She likes to play card games, especially daifugou.
  • She has a parakeet named "Moriyama Yukio".
  • Her favorite mascot characters are MyMelody and Kikirara.
  • She likes pulling pranks, especially alongside Tanaka Miku.
  • She was the second-youngest member to ever get a Concurrent Position, at the age of 13 years, 9 months and 9 days.
  • Her costume for 20nin Shimai no Uta has a teddy bear backpack that she called YabuKing.
  • Her Hogwarts house (Harry Potter) is Gryffindor.
  • She was part of the Chinese mobile game AKB48 Cherry Bay Blaze.
  • During Produce 48 she was praised for her singing skills, particularly her high note during a performance of GFriend's "Love Whisper".
