2015 Senbatsu (minus Shimazaki Haruka)

Renacchi Sousenkyo (れなっち総選挙) is an annual informal election held by AKB48's Kato Rena. The Senbatsu is an oshimen ranking made by her, which consists of members who applied on that year's Renacchi Sousenkyo.

A fan asked her in June 2015 to create her own Sousenkyo which consists of Kato's top 16 favorite members. It all started as a joke with members applying and producer Akimoto Yasushi joining in and said he will create a song for the Senbatsu. The Renacchi Sousenkyo made news headlines and trended on social media which pushed Renacchi to make it an official event.

Members could send an application through 755 until June 14, 2015. 125 members applied for the year's election, including Nogizaka46 members and Idoling!!!'s Sato Rena. The results were later posted on her 755, with HKT48's Tanaka Natsumi as the center. After creating the list, she requested to Akimoto Yasushi that a song and music video be made for the group. They became a single unit, and sang Madonna no Sentaku on AKB48's 42nd single Kuchibiru ni Be My Baby.

In June 2016, Renacchi announced that she will start another election. The members could apply through a twintails 2-shot picture with her. 168 members applied for this year's election, including NGT48 members. The results were revealed on August 28 through SHOWROOM, in front of 120,000 live viewers. The prize for this year is a photobook and sang Happy End on AKB48's 46th single High Tension.
