- On AKB48 Sayonara Mouri-san she shared that her first kiss was with her older brother. She was 5 years old at the time, and she kissed him during a car ride while he was asleep.
- Her younger sister, Rina, appeared with Nana at the 2016 Janken Tournament doing a cosplay from the anime Re:Zero. Rina also occasionally shows up in Nana's SHOWROOM streams.
- She is known for her serious (majime) personality, especially during variety shows and theater performances. Theater manager Yuasa Hiroshi called Nana "a perfectionist and stoic hard worker. She takes what she is given and returns it at 120%".
- She developed a code of conduct for the AKB48 Kenkyuusei while she was one.
- She called Minegishi Minami Mii-san, instead of Mii-chan like other members did, since Minegishi was her senior.

She later explained that she suffered from functional hypoglycemia, which is low blood sugar after eating a meal that can cause cerebral or hormonal problems. As a result she also suffered from an eating disorder, overeating, and vomiting during this period.
- She has expressed that she has more interest in females than males, saying in July 2020 that this may mean she is bisexual. She enjoys yuri manga, has complimented other members' body parts, and is especially known for her fondness of Murayama Yuiri.
- She runs a YouTube channel with Murayama Yuiri, Mogi Shinobu, and Mukaichi Mion called "YuuNaMogiOn Channel".

- In December 2021, AKB48 members voted Nana as the best singer among all members of all 48 groups, as well as the strictest member of all 48 groups.

- She often dyes her hair. She is one of the few 48 Group members to have a hair color that wasn't a shade of blonde, brown, or black. However, in November 2022 she decided she to dye it back to black after turning 25 to allow the hair to heal.
- In August 2021 she appeared as a guest at the JF Oberlin University 100 Cherry Blossoms Festival, modeling a kimono for their kimono fashion show.
- She was diagnosed with coronavirus in late July 2022. She was on hiatus for one week, and watched all 8 seasons of Game of Thrones during that time.

- On May 22nd, received her first center position alongside Kojima Natsuki and Kojima Mako for Bara no Kajitsu on AKB48's 31st single Sayonara Crawl.
- On July 20th, at AKB48's AKB48 5 Big Dome Concert Tour in Fukuoka, the new unit Tentoumu Chu! was formed. Nana was announced as one of the seven members.
- On August 24th, at the AKB48 5 Big Dome Concert Tour in Tokyo, was promoted to Minegishi Team 4 (Reformation of Team 4).
- On October 10th, Tentoumu Chu! released its first song Kimi Dake ni Chu! Chu! Chu! on AKB48's 33rd single, Heart Ereki.
